For nearly two decades, we&rsquo;ve partnered with public and private sector clients to deliver creative, practical, and sustainable solutions across transportation, education, healthcare, municipal, federal, commercial, and recreational sectors. &nbsp;We&rsquo;re expanding our capabilities, our geography, and our team&mdash;and now is an exciting time to join us. &nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p>We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a <strong>Sr.&nbsp;</strong><strong>Bridge Engineer</strong> <strong>III&nbsp;</strong>in our Richmond or Fairfax, VA offices. &nbsp;<br><br><p><strong><u>What You&#39;ll Do:</u></strong></p><p>Senior Bridge Engineer for primarily VDOT bridge projects and possibly some other clients. &nbsp;Serve in a Lead Engineer role including the planning, analysis, and design of bridge projects ranging from conventional to innovative bridge types.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Key Responsibilities:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Perform structural load calculations and bridge plan / specifications development.</li><li>Oversee geometric layout and quantity development.</li><li>Check design calculations / construction cost estimates / plan development produced by other engineers.</li><li>Typical bridge projects include precast concrete girder (pre-stressed and/or post-tensioned) and steel plate or steel box girder for highway, waterway, and rail projects.</li><li>Strong technical skills in Engineering analysis and design combined with a proven background of technical leadership on these types of projects.</li><li>Perform as a Technical Specialist or Task Leader on large projects and supervise Junior Engineers in the performance of engineering tasks.</li><li>Report preparation and frequent client interaction.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>What You&#39;ll Bring:</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>BSCE required; MSCE in Structural Engineering preferred.</li><li>Active Virginia PE licensure required.</li><li>VDOT project experience strongly preferred.</li><li>10+ years of bridge design experience required; PM experience beneficial.</li><li>Prior Supervisory experience (team, office, etc.) a plus.</li><li>Extensive experience in all aspects of bridge design projects.</li><li>Experience with Bridge Inspection is a plus, but not required.</li><li>Computer program proficiency: Microsoft Office, Structural analysis software (LARSA, SAP etc.), Structural design software (LEAP products BDS products PCA Col etc.).</li><li>Knowledge of MicroStation is preferred, OpenBridge Designer is a plus.</li><li>Demonstrated leadership and communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work with various teams &ndash; internal and external - as required.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong><u>Why PRIME AE?</u></strong><u><br></u>We don&rsquo;t just offer jobs&mdash;we build careers.
