The team is seeking an experienced credit underwriter to join the New York team with the following specific responsibilities and qualifications:</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Work closely with the team to structure, underwrite and close transactions</li>\n <li>Work closely with the team through the due diligence, underwriting, approval and closing process</li>\n <li>Assist in the negotiation of term sheets, credit agreements and associated legal documents</li>\n <li>Supervise and mentor junior professionals</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree from top tier university</li>\n <li>12-15+ years of private credit or similar underwriting experience required</li>\n <li>Experience and knowledge across relevant industries</li>\n <li>Leveraged finance background required</li>\n <li>Demonstrated strong work ethic, commitment to excellence, and unquestionable integrity</li>\n <li>Highly motivated self-starter who is coachable; willing to embrace a collaborative firm and team culture</li>\n <li>Ability to analyze and distill company and capital structure information to form a view on risk</li>\n <li>Possess superb written, verbal, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills</li>\n <li>Strong quantitative and financial modeling skills</li>\n <li>Analytically strong and intellectually inquisitive</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The average salary for this role is $175,000-$225,000 in base pay and is exclusive of any bonuses or benefits.
