We are seeking a Summer Substitute Teacher to lead summer school classes on an on-call basis. In this position, you will primarily work with students who have fallen behind in their academic level, which may require you to provide extra help or move at a slower pace. You must also ensure that your students are active and engaged throughout the length of the class. Our ideal applicant has prior experience working with students in a similar position. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Duties and Responsibilities: </span></span><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">1.</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Follow daily lesson plans provided by Summer School Administrator</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">2.</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Track the progress of their students and create reports to inform parents of their progress</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">3. </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Lead lectures and hands-on activities</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">4. </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Assign homework  to help your students learn the material</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">5.</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Administer quizzes and tests to measure their progress</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">6.</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Provide extra help to your students when necessary</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">7.</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Guides independent study, enrichment work, and remedial work set up as assigned</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">8.</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Distributes and collects materials for instruction.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">9.</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Operates and cares for equipment used in the classroom for instructional purposes</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">10.</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Maintain a safe and respectful classroom environment.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">11.</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Supervise students during emergency drills, assemblies, play periods, and field trips. </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">12.</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Maintain a Gradebook for all students and create a final summer school report card. </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">13.</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Attend GPC meeting for Final Grades and Student Promotion</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">14.</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Performs any additional duties related to the ongoing effectiveness of the school; as directed by the supervisor.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Education:  </span></span><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Bachelor's Degree </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Certification: </span></span><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Teaching Certification preferred</span><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Work Experience:  </span></span><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Previous experience working with elementary-age students is preferred</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Competencies: </span></span><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">•</span> <span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Communicate effectively, comprehends and understand communications</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">•</span> <span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Knowledge of computers, for word processing and other basic tasks.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">•</span> <span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Able to accept and learn new and improved, education theories and techniques.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">•</span> <span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Able to interact effectively with co-workers, parents, volunteers, and others in the classroom.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">•</span> <span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Able to work with others using a team model and to follow basic teamwork principles.  </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Equipment Used: </span></span><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Microsoft Office, Eduphoria, Office equipment (e.g., computer, copier).
