    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a Senior Scrum Master to support a major national laboratory onsite in Albuquerque, NM. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The succesful candidate will play a crucial role in managing Agile development processes, including Scrum and Kanban product development implementations. The position requires close collaboration with the Product Owner and Development team to develop and prioritize the backlog enabling the team to deliver agreed upon outcomes. The Scrum Master is responsible for resolving impediments, facilitating key Agile events, and fostering a safe and trusting team environment. Operating in a hybrid Agile environment, the Scrum Master must adapt Agile practices to align with non-Agile dependencies (e.g., external partners, reporting requirements, etc.) while adhering to established enterprise processes and governance.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure the team effectively implements Agile practices</li>\n <li>Foster a safe and trusting team environment that encourages self-organization and impediment resolution</li>\n <li>Encourage accountability with the team for meeting commitments.</li>\n <li>Assist the team with estimation and provide metrics (cumulative flow diagrams, velocity etc.) to track performance</li>\n <li>Facilitate decision making and conflict resolution.</li>\n <li>Communicates timelines and dependencies to stakeholders.</li>\n <li>Guide teams in adapting Agile practices to effectively navigate hybrid delivery constraints while adhering to Agile values and principles</li>\n <li>Champion continuous improvement by identifying and implementing actionable items from retrospectives.</li>\n <li>Support integration of Agile team outputs into broader program (potentially waterfall-based plans).</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or a similar discipline, along with 5 years or more of relevant experience; or a total of 11 years of relevant experience without a degree.</li>\n <li>Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy Q security clearance.</li>\n <li>Ability to work onsite in Albuquerque, NM.</li>\n <li>Must be a U.S. Citizen.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Required Skills:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent (e.g., Scaled Agile Framework Scrum Master Certification).</li>\n <li>Strong communication and teamwork skills.</li>\n <li>Proficiency with at least one Agile Lifecycle Management tool (e.g., Jira, Rally, Gitlab).</li>\n <li>Experience with software development projects and the software development lifecycle.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Desired Skills:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Certified Scrum Professional (CSP).</li>\n <li>One or more Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certifications.</li>\n <li>Experience working in a SAFe implementation.</li>\n <li>Experience delivering enterprise-scale software solutions to diverse customers.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>About Us: </strong></p>\n<p>Edgewater Federal Solutions is a privately held government contracting firm located in Frederick, MD.
