Citizens Health is looking for a Registered Nurse to work full-time as a nurse supervisor at Citizens Medical Center, our acute care facility.

Location: 100 E College Ave, Colby, Ks
Position Information: Citizens Health is looking for a Registered Nurse to work full-time as a nurse supervisor at Citizens Medical Center, our acute care facility. This position involves supervising nursing staff on shift within the patient care units, delivering high-quality professional nursing care, and ensuring that patient care is delivered according to physician orders and established nursing standards. The Nursing Supervisor works closely with Nursing Managers and ancillary departments to ensure smooth operations, foster a positive work environment, and achieve the organization's overall goals.
Nurse Supervisors will report to the Nurse Manager.
Days/Hours: This facility is staffed 365 days a years, 24 hours a day
Pay Range: Dependent upon degree and experience.
What you’ll do:
· Collaborate with the planning, development, evaluation, coordination and management of patients enforcing with department policies and protocols within the medical/surgical, obstetrics, and emergency departments and in coordination with the multidisciplinary team and other healthcare professionals.
· Maintain supervision of all nursing personnel during assigned shifts.
· Support nursing staff in evaluation of patients and notifying proper personnel and family with change of status of patient.
· Perform rounds on unit with provider to evaluate and plan care on all patients.
· Assist in providing ongoing training, mentorship, and support to nursing staff to ensure their skills and knowledge.
· Supervision and awareness of emergency preparedness: initiating appropriate response action and will serve as Incident commander until the team arrives.
· Maintain open lines of communication with immediate supervisors to ensure timely and accurate reporting of essential information regarding patient care, staff concerns, or operational issues during the shift to support seamless continuity of care and decision-making.
What you bring to the table:
Current RN Licensure by the Kansas Board of Nursing
Current BLS, TNCC, PALS, NRP and ACLS preferred, will assist in obtaining active certification.
Prior experience as Supervisor, obstetrics, and ER preferred.
Experience in office productivity software (email, calendar, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, etc.).
Experience in EMR documentation.
