With approximately <strong>30+ professionals</strong>, we combine technical excellence with a supportive, team‑based work environment.</p>\n <p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p>\n <p>EXP is seeking a <strong>Senior Civil Engineering Technologist (CET)</strong> to lead <strong>civil drafting, design support, and technical coordination</strong> on municipal infrastructure and land development projects. This role is ideal for an experienced technologist with strong <strong>AutoCAD Civil 3D expertise</strong>, a solid understanding of <strong>Ontario design standards</strong>, and the ability to mentor junior staff.</p>\n <p>&nbsp;</p>\n <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>\n <p>As a Senior Civil Engineering Technologist, you will:</p>\n <ul>\n  <li>Lead the <strong>CAD and drafting strategy</strong> for projects, including standards, templates, and best practices</li>\n  <li>Delegate, mentor, and review work completed by <strong>intermediate and junior technologists</strong></li>\n  <li>Perform <strong>QA/QC reviews</strong> of drawings, models, and technical documentation</li>\n  <li>Produce and review designs using <strong>AutoCAD Civil 3D</strong> (corridors, grading, pipe networks)</li>\n  <li>Utilize <strong>GIS, Bluebeam</strong>, and <strong>MicroStation</strong> (as required by client standards)</li>\n  <li>Apply <strong>Ontario design standards and guidelines</strong>, including <strong>OPSS, MTO, and municipal standards</strong></li>\n  <li>Conduct <strong>constructability reviews</strong> and provide <strong>value engineering recommendations</strong></li>\n  <li>Perform <strong>site inspections</strong>, quantity take‑offs, field measurements, and respond to RFIs</li>\n  <li>Support <strong>Contract Administration</strong>, including:&nbsp; \n   <ul>\n    <li>Shop drawing reviews</li>\n    <li>Redlines and revisions</li>\n    <li>As-built drawing validation</li>\n   </ul></li>\n  <li>Prepare <strong>cost estimates, quantities</strong>, and level‑of‑effort planning for drafting and design tasks</li>\n  <li>Track schedules, identify <strong>project risks and issues</strong>, and support mitigation strategies</li>\n  <li>Assist with <strong>tender packages, bid documents, and addenda</strong></li>\n  <li>Act as a <strong>client liaison</strong> (with PM support), responding to comments and coordinating with utilities and approval agencies</li>\n  <li>Support <strong>public consultation materials</strong>, including exhibits and visual presentations, when required</li>\n  <li>Ensure designs comply with <strong>municipal bylaws, ESA requirements, environmental constraints, and accessibility standards</strong></li>\n </ul>\n <p>&nbsp;</p>\n <p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience</strong></p>\n <p>The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in <strong>civil engineering technology</strong> and municipal infrastructure projects, including:</p>\n <ul>\n  <li><strong>Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.)</strong> with <strong>OACETT membership</strong>&nbsp; \n   <ul>\n    <li><i>RCSI or RCCA designation considered an asset</i></li>\n   </ul></li>\n  <li>Advanced experience with <strong>AutoCAD Civil 3D</strong></li>\n  <li>Experience with <strong>Bentley InRoads</strong> (<i>asset</i>)</li>\n  <li>Strong computer skills in <strong>MS Office (Word, Excel)</strong> and <strong>MS Project</strong></li>\n  <li>Experience in <strong>municipal infrastructure design</strong>, including:&nbsp; \n   <ul>\n    <li>Roads and transportation corridors</li>\n    <li>Water and wastewater systems</li>\n    <li>Stormwater management</li>\n   </ul></li>\n  <li>Familiarity with <strong>MTO highway design</strong> and <strong>structural design</strong> (<i>asset</i>)</li>\n  <li>Experience in <strong>land development projects</strong>, including preliminary and detailed design drawings</li>\n  <li>Knowledge of <strong>Ontario Provincial Standards (OPS/OPSS)</strong>, <strong>MTO</strong>, and municipal design standards</li>\n  <li>Field survey experience and ability to support <strong>construction administration</strong></li>\n  <li>Excellent <strong>organizational, written, and verbal communication skills</strong></li>\n  <li>Ability to work <strong>independently and collaboratively</strong> in a fast‑paced environment</li>\n  <li>Proven ability to manage <strong>multiple projects and competing deadlines</strong></li>\n </ul>\n <p><span><strong>Reliable transportation</strong> for travel to multiple site locations, including remote areas</span></p>\n</div>\n<p><br>\n  The salary range for this role is between $60K - $80K.
