    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Classification:&nbsp;</strong>Non-Exempt</p><p><strong>Reports to:&nbsp;</strong>Production Manager</p><p><strong>Direct Reports:&nbsp;</strong>NA</p><p><strong>Summary</strong></p><p>The CNC Lathe Machinist is responsible for a variety of machine-specific functions: setting up and operating the Takisawa TS-4000YS, monitoring and optimizing efficiency, maintaining CNC machines, and performing quality checks. The ideal candidate will be able to use precision tools, inspect parts produced for quality, achieve set production goals, and maintain a workplace that is clean and free from safety hazards.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Essential Functions/Duties</strong></p><ol start=\"1\" type=\"1\"><li>Observe, follow and maintain a safe working environment.</li><li>Set up controls and adjust settings for CNC machines &nbsp;</li><li>Observe machine operation for machine malfunction and defects. &nbsp;</li><li>Perform safety checks to ensure safety devices are on and in working order (guarding and all safety equipment). &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</li><li>Perform quality checks and document (where applicable), using simple gages, precision measuring devices and visual inspection. &nbsp;</li><li>Perform daily maintenance on machines and auxiliary equipment. &nbsp;</li><li>Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</li></ol><p><strong>Competencies</strong></p><ol start=\"1\" type=\"1\"><li>Ability to maintain positive relations within all levels of the organization.</li><li>Ability to communicate, present facts and provide recommendations effectively in oral and written form.</li><li>Strong understanding of mathematics, precision measurement and the ability to work with various machine tools.</li><li>Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to work effectively with or without direct supervision as well as independently or in a team environment.</li><li>Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism while under pressure and in the face of adversity</li><li>Ability to prioritize and work with accuracy under stress.</li><li>Ability to critically think and use good judgement in decision making.</li><li>Detailed record keeping with the ability to analyze data/information.</li></ol><p><strong>Physical/Cognitive Demands</strong></p><p>This is largely a physically active role including walking long distances (over uneven surfaces) to/within our production facility, lifting 50lbs or more, and standing for long periods. Position also requires bending, stooping, squatting or standing as necessary. Cognitive abilities required include deductive reasoning, information ordering, oral comprehension, oral expression, problem sensitivity, written comprehension, and written expression.</p><p><strong>Position Type/Expected Hours of Work</strong></p><p>This is a full-time position. Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Evening and weekend work will be required as job duties demand.</p><p><strong>Required Education and Experience</strong></p><ol start=\"1\" type=\"1\"><li>5+ years of experience on horizontal lathes with Fanuc controls, Takisawa Lathe experience is a plus.</li><li>1+ year of independent G-coding.</li><li>1+ year of experience with machining 050 OD to 3-inch OD parts, machining medium to large fasteners in a plus.</li><li>3+ years with dimensional verification of machined parts.</li></ol><p><strong>Preferred Education and Experience</strong></p><ol start=\"1\" type=\"1\"><li>Bilingual English/Spanish language skills is a plus</li></ol><p><strong>Other Duties</strong></p><p>Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
