Those stories are part of what makes this such a special place to work.</span></p>\n<p><span><strong><u>Job Summary</u></strong></span></p>\n<p><span>The Line Cook's primary responsibility is to prepare hot and cold food for customer's consumption according to company and Health Department standards.</span></p>\n<p><span><i>Full-time colleagues are typically scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week, while part-time colleagues are typically scheduled 12-24 hours per week.&nbsp;All schedules contain weekend shifts as part of the requirements.&nbsp;Hours are dependent on business needs and colleague availability.&nbsp; Information regarding hours per week needed for benefit eligibility purposes can be found&nbsp;</i></span><a href=\"https://employeeconnection.net/CareerSiteMedia/2024_2025_Hourly_BAAG_Macys_Bloomingdales.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><span><i>here</i></span></a><span><i>.</i></span></p>\n<p><span><strong><u>What You Will Do</u></strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Follows Food Division Standards and Best Practices.</span></li>\n <li><span>Produce and present food products, cooked to order by following recipes to the letter or build sheets according to company standards.</span></li>\n <li><span>Put away stock according to standards.</span></li>\n <li><span>Follow food safety standards and maintain work area and equipment in accordance with Health Department standards.</span></li>\n <li><span>Educate, sample, and serve customers food products.</span></li>\n <li><span>Effectively deal with multiple customers and communicate customer requests or concerns to other associates and manager on duty.</span></li>\n <li><span>Follow station specific duties and responsibilities.</span></li>\n <li><span>Open and close area following appropriate checklist, verifying completion with Manager on Duty prior to leaving the area.</span></li>\n <li><span>Follow production guides, maintain stock levels and standards in product presentation.</span></li>\n <li><span>Maintain personal hygiene and professional dress code to comply with company and Health Department standards.</span></li>\n <li><span>Assist other associates to ensure all kitchen duties are completed and customer service standards are maintained.</span></li>\n <li><span>Maintain a safe work area.</span></li>\n <li><span>Assist with special events.</span></li>\n <li><span>Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.</span></li>\n <li><span>Perform other duties as needed.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><strong><u>Who You Are</u></strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>1-2 years direct experience preferred.</span></li>\n <li><span>Ability to read and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.</span></li>\n <li><span>Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><strong><u>Essential Physical Requirements You Will Perform</u></strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Position requires prolonged periods of standing/walking around store or department.</span></li>\n <li><span>May involve reaching, crouching, kneeling and stooping.</span></li>\n <li><span>Position may require working in a warm kitchen environment.</span></li>\n <li><span>Frequently lift/move up to 25lbs.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><strong><u>What We Can Offer You</u></strong></span></p>\n<p><span>Join a team where work is as rewarding as it is fun!
