In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain critical backend services and microservices that power our platform. You will work extensively with Java & Python for high-performance enterprise solutions and data processing layers, lead technical initiatives, mentor junior developers, and collaborate closely with and wants to make a significant technical impact while working with modern technologies and best practices.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<h2>Development & Architecture</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Design, develop, and optimize high-performance, scalable and distributed systems</li>\n <li>Experience with microservices architectures</li>\n <li>Lead the design and implementation of APIs and event-driven architectures</li>\n <li>Develop and maintain data processing pipelines and manage data workflows for large-scale data operations</li>\n <li>Write clean, maintainable, secure, and testable code with comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests</li>\n <li>Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability</li>\n <li>Leverage AI-assisted coding to enhance development productivity</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Technical Leadership & Collaboration</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead development projects through to successful implementation</li>\n <li>Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, design and code reviews, enforce coding standards, and drive best practices across the team</li>\n <li>Collaborate with DevOps to improve CI/CD pipelines, observability, and infrastructure-as-code</li>\n <li>Work closely with product management, quality assurance, and system architects to ensure developed code meets system requirements and design specifications</li>\n <li>Mentor mid-level and junior developers and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Operations & Problem Solving</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Debug and resolve complex production issues in high-availability environments</li>\n <li>Analyze and provide technical evaluation of issues, including alternatives, risk assessments, and recommendations</li>\n <li>Provide accurate estimates of assigned tasks and regularly report on development progress</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<h2>Experience & Skills</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>7+ years of professional enterprise software development experience in multi-tier distributed architecture environments</li>\n <li>Expert-level proficiency in Java/Spring framework ecosystem (Java, React, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data), Python web frameworks (Django, FastAPI, Flask), and RESTful API design and development</li>\n <li>Data processing leveraging e.g. Pandas, NumPy, SciPy for data manipulation and analysis, data pipeline frameworks (Apache Airflow, Luigi, or similar), and ETL/ELT processes and workflow orchestration</li>\n <li>Relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra, Reddis)</li>\n <li>Message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS) and event streaming</li>\n <li>ORM frameworks (Hibernate, JPA, SQLAlchemy, Django ORM)</li>\n <li>Solid grasp of concurrency, multi-threading, JVM performance tuning, and garbage collection</li>\n <li>Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)</li>\n <li>Testing frameworks (Selenium, Playwright)</li>\n <li>Build tools (Maven, Gradle) and CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)</li>\n <li>Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)</li>\n <li>Proficiency in debugging, performance profiling, and optimization</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Education</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field, or equivalent work experience</li>\n</ul>\n<h1>Nice-to-Have Skills</h1>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience acting as a Scrum master and leading ceremonies like planning sessions, daily scrums/stand-ups, and sprint reviews/retrospectives</li>\n <li>Experience and strong interest in AI coding tools (Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, Cline, etc.) and prompt engineering for code generation and optimization</li>\n <li>Exposure to ML/AI libraries (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and workflows (integrating ML models, working with model APIs, or MLOps tools)</li>\n <li>Cloud certifications (AWS Certified Developer, etc.)</li>\n <li>Contributions to open-source projects or a strong GitHub profile</li>\n <li>Background screening or workforce solutions industry experience</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What do we
