    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong><u>Primary Duties &amp; Responsibilities</u></strong></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>• Design and optimize manufacturing processes for testing electro-optical components and assemblies.</li>\n <li>• Perform testing of production parts using lasers as required.</li>\n <li>• Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure products meet specifications and standards.</li>\n <li>• Assemble and test opto-mechanical and electro-optic prototypes.</li>\n <li>• Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), drawings, and procedures.</li>\n <li>• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality.</li>\n <li>• Provide technical support to production and NPI teams as needed.</li>\n <li>• Manage production schedules and ensure on-time daily shipments when required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Education &amp; Experience</u></strong></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of experience, or a master’s degree or higher.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Skills</u></strong></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>• Experience in manufacturing engineering, particularly with optical systems and components.</li>\n <li>• Experience working in a cleanroom environment.</li>\n <li>• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and strong knowledge of manufacturing processes.</li>\n <li>• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li>\n <li>• Familiarity with lasers, optical components, and related test equipment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong><u>Safety Requirements</u></strong></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp.
