    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The Cyber Underwriter will produce and underwrite new and renewal business within the fast-growing Cyber Division. The role will be responsible for assessing the cybersecurity maturity and insurability of business entities across a wide range of industry sectors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for underwriting new and renewal business, helping improve the technical expertise and underwriting guidelines within the division, as well as developing relationships with our key broker partners to achieve our team’s shared goals. To be successful the candidate must be self-motivated, adaptable to a changing marketplace, and able to work and collaborate as part of a team.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Responsibilities</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Achieve individual and team premium and production goals balanced with maintaining target loss ratios.</li>\n <li>Demonstrate technical and strategic underwriting skills when assessing each submission for new and renewal cyber policies in all target business segments within the business plan.</li>\n <li>Understand key underwriting considerations and distinguishing aspects of various types and sizes of risks ranging from large to small.</li>\n <li>Manage new and renewal business processes including building submission pipelines, issuing quotes, binders and policies in a timely manner and maintaining frequent correspondence with brokers.</li>\n <li>Proactively foster and develop positive relationships with key broker and agent partners.</li>\n <li>Assist with administrative documentation of risks and ensure compliance with processes and procedures.</li>\n <li>Analyze technology trends and stay up to date with emerging risks to identify opportunities and exposures.</li>\n <li>· Operate within the established underwriting authority and within the parameters of the underwriting guidelines.</li>\n <li>· Collaborate with the team and other internal peers within other aligned business units to drive portfolio strategies.</li>\n <li>Requirements:</li>\n <li>High attention to detail</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Requirements:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>High attention to detail</li>\n <li>Independent and self-motivated</li>\n <li>Articulate and analytical</li>\n <li>Detail oriented and customer focused</li>\n <li>Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative team player</li>\n <li>Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and manage/prioritize projects effectively in a fast-paced environment</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred Experience & Education</p>\n<ul>\n <li>4-year degree BA/BS or equivalent education and/or work experience.</li>\n <li>Experience underwriting Cyber/Tech E&O, or alternatively technical or consulting-related cybersecurity work experience.</li>\n <li>Proficient with Microsoft suite of products</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>What We Offer</h2>\n<p>AmTrust Financial Services offers a competitive compensation package and excellent career advancement opportunities.
