"description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Title: QC Inspector - Piping (Fort Saskatchewan, AB)<br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Open Positions: 1</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Scope Of Work :</span> QC Welding Inspection</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Location: Fort Saskatchewan<br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Start Date:</span> May 26 - 28, 2026<br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Duration:</span> 3 Months +</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Shift: </span>5 x 2 Shift</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Hours of Work:</span> 8 to 10 Hours a day</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Rates: Employee: $45.00 (max) | Contractor: $70.00 (max)</p>\n<p>_____________________________________________________________________</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Scope of Work</span></span></p>\n<p>Quality Control Welding Inspection for piping and installation activities.<br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform quality control inspections for <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">piping fabrication and installation</span> activities.</li>\n<li>Inspect welding operations in accordance with <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">CSA W47.1, CSA W59 (as applicable), ASME codes</span>, project specifications, and approved <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">WPS/WPQ</span></li>\n<li>Verify <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">material traceability</span>, heat numbers, MTRs, and compliance with piping specifications</li>\n<li>Review and interpret <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">piping isometrics, P&IDs, weld maps, and fabrication drawings</span></li>\n<li>Conduct <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">fit-up inspections, dimensional checks, weld visual inspections</span>, and final acceptance inspections</li>\n<li>Monitor piping fabrication and construction activities including <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">cutting, beveling, fit-up, welding, PWHT coordination, and surface preparation</span></li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">QA/QC procedures, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and defined hold/witness points</span></li>\n<li>Identify non-conformances, issue <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">NCRs</span>, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions</li>\n<li>Maintain accurate <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">inspection records, daily reports, weld logs, turnover dossiers, and QC documentation</span></li>\n<li>Liaise with welders, supervisors, engineers, NDT technicians, and client representatives</li>\n<li>Verify NDT requirements, review NDT reports, and confirm acceptance per project criteria</li>\n<li>Promote and enforce <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">site safety requirements and safe work practices</span></li>\n<li>Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, welding, and inspection processes</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt\"><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Requirements & Qualifications</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">CWB Level 2 Certification – Mandatory</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Piping QC Inspection Experience – Required</span></li>\n<li>Solid understanding of <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy piping systems</span></li>\n<li>Experience with <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">shop and field piping inspections</span></li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">QA/QC systems, ITPs, turnover documentation, and weld traceability</span></li>\n<li>Ability to read and interpret <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">P&IDs, isometrics, weld maps, and piping drawings</span></li>\n<li>Familiarity with <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ASME B31 piping codes</span> and LNG construction standards</li>\n<li>Excellent communication, reporting, and organizational skills</li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary project team</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt\"><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Mandatory Safety Certifications</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>CSTS</li>\n<li>WHMIS</li>\n<li>First Aid</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Additional Information:</span></p>\n<p>This job opening not only provides an excellent opportunity for qualified professionals in Quality Control but also serves as a platform for future opportunities within our company.
