          "text": "<p>Compensation: USD 165,000 - 190,000 yearly&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Job Description</strong></p><p>Ten Mile Square is looking for a talented and experienced Solution Architect to design and build systems for multiple remote-first teams of full-stack software engineers working in a complex enterprise environment. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can drive technical direction, maintain a high delivery bar, and operate effectively across architecture, product, and engineering stakeholders.</p><p>The initial assignment is to help lead the development and modernization of enterprise financial services platforms, including backend systems, federated GraphQL services, workflow-driven application components, and cloud-native infrastructure on AWS. The right candidate will combine strong software engineering depth with delivery accountability, sound technical judgment, and the ability to move work forward in messy, real-world environments.</p><p>Salary (Base + Target Bonus): $190K ($165K + $25K).&#xa0;</p><p>&#xa0;</p><p><strong>JOB RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><ul><li>Work with multiple teams of software engineers, SDETs, and DevOps-oriented engineers to design and build&#xa0;complex software systems.&#xa0; Expected work breakdown is 70% system design, 30% hands-on development.</li><li>Drive design decisions and understand trade-offs of various technology choices</li><li>Perform hands-on application programming with an emphasis on backend and integration systems development using GraphQL, Apollo, Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, RESTful APIs, and data pipelines</li><li>Architect, design, and build distributed systems and integrations using a suite of AWS components including but not limited to EKS, Lambda, S3, MSK, and Aurora</li><li>Design and implement GraphQL subgraphs and contribute to federated graph architecture and schema governance</li><li>Define and maintain architectural standards, ensuring systems remain scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise constraints</li><li>Set a high technical and delivery bar by modeling engineering best practices and enforcing expectations around quality, reliability, testing, observability, and operational support</li><li>Guide teams in making sound technical decisions and tradeoffs, ensuring solutions are aligned with long-term strategy while still delivering near-term value</li><li>Champion engineering operational excellence, including observability, automation, reliability, performance improvements, and production support</li><li>Promote a DevOps and cloud-first mindset, ensuring teams fully leverage modern engineering practices and cloud-native capabilities</li><li>Work with product, architecture, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into epics, stories, technical plans, and delivery workstreams</li><li>Mentor developers on the team</li><li>Ensure technical documentation is clear, accurate, and accessible to the technology team</li><li>Contribute as a member of an Agile team and promote Agile practices</li><li>Proactively collaborate with the Ten Mile Square team on development and knowledge sharing</li><li>Represent yourself and Ten Mile Square with integrity, expertise, and value</li><li>Maintain the confidentiality of our clients on an ongoing basis</li></ul>",
