    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p>Our new Residence Inn located in Wilmington, DE is seeking a Chief Engineer to support the opening and maintenance of the hotel! The Chief Engineer will be responsible to oversee the maintenance, and repair of all hotel equipment.</p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><p><strong>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Guest Service</strong></p><ul><li>Maintains <em>guest service</em> as the driving philosophy of the operation</li><li>Personally, demonstrates a commitment to guest service in responding promptly to guests&rsquo; needs</li><li>Committed to making every guest is satisfied</li><li>Meets or exceeds guest satisfaction measures</li><li>Ensures hotel standards and services contribute to the delivery of consistent guest service</li><li>Implements and practices guest service initiatives and performs to Gulph Creek Hotel Standards</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Chief Engineer Duties</strong></p><ul><li>Ensure that room maintenance requests are handled in a prompt and courteous manner.</li><li>Follow up on all alarms immediately to determine the exact location and cause. Determine emergency status and repair projects.</li><li>Ensure engineering staff adheres to Loss Prevention guidelines.</li><li>Supervise and appoint a variety of contractors and existing staff on a number of projects.</li><li>Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Gulph Creek Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and nametag when working.&nbsp;</li><li>Comply at all times with Gulph Creek standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.</li><li>Supervise and train all Engineering staff, oversee projects.</li><li>Coordinate all Engineering staff scheduling.</li><li>Create and adhere to the annual budget for department.</li><li>Develop and implement plans to keep property, equipment and grounds in an acceptable state of repair.&nbsp;</li><li>Create and implement preventive maintenance program for all hotel equipment.&nbsp;</li><li>Coordinate periodic inspection of all safety systems.</li><li>Maintain and schedule life safety inspections with 3rd party vendors every 6 months</li><li>Complete in-house life safety inspections every 6 months</li><li>Accountable for training requirements</li><li>Oversee projects</li><li>Accurate and timely completion of paperwork&nbsp;</li><li>Understanding and enforcement of company policies</li><li>Familiarity with and knowledge of employment laws are helpful.</li><li>Attend all meetings required and participate in M.O.D program.</li><li>Other duties as required</li></ul><p><strong>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>Manage department.
