    "description": "<h2>About JerseySTEM</h2>\n<p><strong>All JerseySTEM roles are pro-bono (unpaid) positions.</strong>JerseySTEM is a mission-driven professional network of pro-bono contributors dedicated to improving access to STEM education and career pathways for underserved middle school girls in New Jersey.</p>\n<p>Members contribute their professional skills and leverage their networks in service of the organization’s gender-equity agenda.Membership is a <strong>minimum six-month commitment of approximately six flexible hours per week </strong>and includes a $100 refundable deposit, returned after six months of active membership. K–12 educators, retirees, veterans, interns, and students are exempt from the deposit.</p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>This is a pro-bono volunteer position.</strong> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>JerseySTEM is looking for talented professionals across our departments to commit time and energy as long-term engagement for our mission to provide STEM education to underrepresented middle school girls.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The <strong>Strategic Planning Manager</strong> is responsible for connecting with Community Organizations such as the YMCAs. Boys and Girls Clubs, the Urban League, Casa San Pedro…and explore ways to partner with them and their students.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Seek out connections at community organizations</li>\n <li>Make Virtual presentations</li>\n <li>Explore ideas for partnership</li>\n <li>Attend a weekly virtual team meeting Sundays 6pm est.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Genuine concern about/interest in solving the STEM education gender gap</li>\n <li>Ability to establish and maintain connections with external organizations</li>\n <li>Ability to think outside of the box and to be creative in the arrangements </li>\n <li>Resourceful, can-do attitude</li>\n <li>Outreach experience preferred</li>\n <li>Comfort working in a ‘virtual organization’ with digital tools (G-Suite, Slack, Jira, salesforce)</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Would be a plus if candidate has flexible schedule to allow for day time calls with the school admins during the work week</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Time Commitment </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>3-6 Hours weekly</li>\n <li>6 months minimum</li>\n</ul>",
