This leader will oversee deployment engineering teams that implement and support Kubernetes-based solutions across customer networks, ensuring reliability, scalability, security, and operational excellence.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Engineering, the ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise in cloud-native platforms, telecom infrastructure, and DevOps practices with proven leadership experience managing geographically distributed engineering teams and customer-facing deployments.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of Deployment Engineers and Technical Deployment Specialists.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ensure successful implementation, configuration, validation, and production readiness of customer deployments.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Establish deployment metrics, KPIs, and reporting to measure deployment success, quality, and operational efficiency.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Define deployment engineering strategy, processes, standards, and best practices to improve deployment quality, efficiency, and predictability.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation; monitor progress and address any risks or issues that arise.</li></ul><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Establish deployment methodologies that support both traditional telecom and cloud-native network architectures.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Develop organizational capabilities to successfully drive rapid customer acceptance, of platform upgrades, and large-scale production rollouts.</li></ul></div><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Partner with Product, Engineering, Program Management, and Support organizations to drive successful customer outcomes.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize deployment processes and enhance service delivery.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Support capture efforts with proposals, white papers and reviewing cost estimates.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Travel as required for business needs.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">15+ years of experience in software deployment, systems engineering, DevOps, SRE, platform engineering, or related disciplines.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">5+ years of leadership experience managing engineering or deployment teams.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience deploying and operating containerized applications in production environments.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Knowledge of telecom technologies such as:</li></ul></div><ul type=\"disc\"><ul type=\"circle\"><li>4G/5G Core&nbsp;</li><li>IMS&nbsp;</li><li>VoIP/SIP&nbsp;</li><li>OSS/BSS integrations&nbsp;</li><li>Network Functions Virtualization (NFV)&nbsp;</li><li>Cloud-Native Network Functions (CNFs)</li></ul></ul><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and deployment automation.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience with Linux systems, networking, storage, and distributed systems.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Demonstrated success delivering complex customer-facing deployments.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Education:</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Bachelor&#39;s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>This position requires compliance with Comtech&rsquo;s Drug-Free Workplace Program.
