With offices in California and Shanghai, Structure Therapeutics has the benefit of being at the center of life science innovation in both the US and China and capitalizing on the strengths of each geographic location.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position Summary:</span></p>\n<p>Reporting to the Executive Director, Medical Affairs &amp; Advocacy Engagement, the Sr Director, Medical Director at Structure Therapeutics will lead the development and execution of the Medical Strategy, gathering and synthesizing external insights—including treatment patterns, unmet medical needs, and competitive intelligence— across all metabolic programs.</p>\n<p>This role is critical in shaping scientific engagement and communications, identifying evidence gaps, and supporting lifecycle management. The individual will serve as a key scientific expert internally and externally, ensuring alignment across clinical development, regulatory, and commercial readiness efforts.</p>\n<p>As a trusted scientific partner, the Medical Director builds and sustains relationships with key opinion leaders, investigators, healthcare professionals, and patient communities, facilitating the exchange of scientific information related to the company’s pipeline and therapeutic focus areas. The role requires a high level of expertise in interpreting and communicating clinical and translational data, particularly in fast-evolving therapeutic landscapes.</p>\n<p>The Medical Director plays a pivotal role in supporting clinical development programs by identifying and engaging top investigators and providing key insights that inform study design and execution.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Job Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Medical Strategy</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and execute a comprehensive Medical Strategic Plan, including insight generation, data dissemination, and medical communications, across all obesity and related metabolic programs</li>\n<li>Lead Publication Strategy across all programs (abstracts, manuscripts, congress presentations)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Scientific &amp; External Engagement</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), academic institutions, and healthcare providers</li>\n<li>Present clinical and scientific data on metabolic therapies. Represent the company at medical and community congresses, advisory boards</li>\n<li>Lead high-level scientific discussions on disease state and treatment landscape</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Evidence Generation &amp; Insights</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support Investigator-Initiated Trials (IITs) and real-world evidence studies</li>\n<li>Gather and synthesize medical insights from HCP interactions</li>\n<li>Inform clinical development plans and lifecycle management</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Cross-Functional Collaboration</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Partner with:\n<ul>\n<li>Clinical development (trial design considerations, medical insights, unmet medical need)</li>\n<li>Clinical Operations (investigator needs and engagement)</li>\n<li>Market access (value messaging)</li>\n<li>Commercial teams (compliant scientific support)</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>Review materials for scientific accuracy and compliance as representative in Medical Legal Regulatory (MLR) review process</li>\n<li>Ensure all activities comply with regulatory and ethical standards </li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications: </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>MD, PharmD, or PhD in a relevant scientific field</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Experience</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>10+ years in biotech/pharma</li>\n<li>Strong background in metabolic diseases (e.g., obesity, type 2 diabetes), global experience a plus</li>\n<li>Prior experience as Medical Director or equivalent in Medical Affairs</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Skills</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Deep scientific expertise in metabolism. For this role, the anticipated base pay range is $260,000-$360,000. The exact base pay offered for this role will depend on various factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s geography, qualifications, skills, and experience. <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position can be ONSITE or REMOTE.</span></p>\n<p>At Structure, base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate will be eligible for an annual performance incentive bonus, new hire equity, and ongoing performance-based equity.
