We are seeking an experienced Software Developer to create solutions and tools for automated testing and data mining in support of the Softkill Coordination Subsystem (SKCS) program. As part of a Scrum team, you will be performing software design, implementation, and test, documentation, and defect analysis, as well as CI/CD pipeline development. This is a journeyman level position requiring a minimum of 5 years of professional experience. Must be willing to work on-site at Dahlgren Naval Base 5 days/week.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>A Secret Clearance will be required for this position. Candidates must be a US Citizen and hold a DoD Clearance or be Clearance eligible for consideration.</p>\n<h2>Travel</h2>Negligible\n<h2>Clearance</h2>\n<p>An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.</p>\n<h2>Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Test Tool Development: \n  <ul>\n   <li>Design, code, and implement scripts and applications for creating simulated data and message injection using Python/C++</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Code Review and Analysis: \n  <ul>\n   <li>Ability to understand existing tactical software implemented in  C++</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Enable automated analysis of manual regression tests using collected data (in the form of raw binary data or human readable logs) </li>\n <li>Tactical Software Development: \n  <ul>\n   <li>CI/CD and DevOps: Engage in our DevSecOps pipeline to encorporate previous manual tests as repeatable automated tests </li>\n   <li>Consolidate repeatable tests within a testing framework for configuration management, extensibility, repeatability, maintainability of tests as well as to aid in report generation </li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Code Management: \n  <ul>\n   <li>Use Git for local development and GitLab for configuration management, including handling merge requests and maintaining code repositories</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Agile and Project Management: \n  <ul>\n   <li>Participate in our agile development process, using JIRA for ticket management and Confluence for documentation</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Technical Skills:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Programming Languages and Frameworks:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Proficiency in <strong>Python </strong>and experience with <strong>automated testing frameworks</strong></li>\n   <li>Experience with <strong>C++</strong> and object oriented design principles.<strong> </strong></li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Data Reduction Techniques\n  <ul>\n   <li>Experience with manipulating output text and binary data for automated and manual analysis</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Version Control and CI/CD\n  <ul>\n   <li><strong>Git</strong> and <strong>GitLab </strong></li>\n   <li>Familiarity with <strong>DevSecOps</strong> principles and practices. </li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>General Skills:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Problem-Solving: Excellent <strong>analytical and problem-solving skills</strong>, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues</li>\n <li>Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to <strong>collaborate effectively</strong> with team members and stakeholders</li>\n <li>Teamwork: A collaborative spirit and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team</li>\n <li>Attention to Detail: A passion for quality and an eye for detail in all aspects of development</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Preferred Skills and Experience</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Expirence with:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Automated testing frameworks</li>\n   <li>Redhat Linux</li>\n   <li>Docker containers</li>\n   <li>Jenkins</li>\n   <li>Rust</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Education</h2>A Bachelors degree in a STEM field is required.\n<h2>Compensation</h2>\n<p>Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The projected annual compensation range for this position is $92,000 - $135,000(USD).
