All procedures are performed with only the patient and technologist in the testing room. Must have excellent communication and patient assessment skills. Ensures that tests meet or exceed the American Thoracic Society (ATS) and European Respiratory Society (ERS) standards and follow the guidelines incorporated in the laboratory's standard policy and procedure manual (SOPs). Responsible for reviewing patient test results and independently making decisions for additional testing according to lab protocol. Is accountable for calibration, proper use, and routine maintenance of all equipment. Responsible for accuracy and completeness of work performed.</p>",
