The host/hostess seats and presents clean menus to guests in a friendly, professional and quick manner.</p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Essential Functions</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Greets and seats guests, presents menus to guests, informs them of daily specials.</li>\r\n\t<li>Treats all guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction. Always strives to exceed guests' expectations.</li>\r\n\t<li>Takes names on a waiting list.</li>\r\n\t<li>Runs the floor plan board.</li>\r\n\t<li>Observes tables and keeps track of clean, dirty and occupied tables.</li>\r\n\t<li>Takes guest information and quotes wait times to guests accurately when tables are not immediately available.</li>\r\n\t<li>Cleans, organizes and stocks menus at host area.</li>\r\n\t<li>Answers phone and answers questions concerning the menu and restaurant.</li>\r\n\t<li>Interacts with guests as they arrive and as they leave the restaurant to ensure positive dining experience.</li>\r\n\t<li>Fills room service, if applicable.</li>\r\n\t<li>Performs other duties as directed.</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Competencies</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Customer Focus.</li>\r\n\t<li>Communication Proficiency.</li>\r\n\t<li>Organizational Skills.</li>\r\n\t<li>Stress Management/Composure.</li>\r\n\t<li>Multi-task oriented.</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<p>Estimated percentage of daily physical requirements and/or number of pounds that may need to be lifted on the job:</p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>100% -- Stands during entire shift.</li>\r\n\t<li>75% -- Reaches, bends and stoops frequently.</li>\r\n\t<li>20% -- Carries 20-lb. highchair about 10 times per shift over medium distances (20-30 feet).</li>\r\n\t<li>50% -- Verbally communicates with guests and phone callers.</li>\r\n\t<li>Must be able to read, write and determine wait time based on Riversides procedures. Must be able to visually scan restaurant for clean, unoccupied tables.
