    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Safeway is looking for candidates to fill potential temporary roles in the event of a labor strike.&nbsp;&nbsp; If these roles are needed, shifts and hours will vary.</strong></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Job Overview:</strong></p>\n<p>At this time, we are creating a pool of interested candidates to work as temporary strike replacement workers.&nbsp; In the event of a labor strike, confirmed candidates will be extended an offer and hired into this temporary role that will remain active during the strike period only.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>We are seeking reliable and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Temporary Grocery Store Associates if a labor strike occurs.&nbsp; In this role, you will help maintain store operations and ensure a positive shopping experience for our customers.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Customer Service</strong></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Greet customers and assist with locating products.</li>\n <li>Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately.</li>\n <li>Bag groceries and assist with carry-outs as needed.</li>\n <li>Address customer inquiries and escalate issues to supervisors.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Stocking &amp; Merchandising</strong></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Restock shelves and maintain product displays.</li>\n <li>Ensure items are properly labeled and priced.</li>\n <li>Rotate stock and remove expired or damaged items.</li>\n <li>Cleanliness &amp; Safety</li>\n <li>Maintain cleanliness of aisles, restrooms, and common areas.</li>\n <li>Sanitize carts, baskets, and checkout stations.</li>\n <li>Follow all safety and hygiene protocols.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Departmental Support (as assigned)</strong></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist in Produce, Deli, Bakery, Meat, or Dairy departments.</li>\n <li>Perform basic food prep, packaging, and stocking duties.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Experience and Qualifications*:</strong></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Previous retail or grocery experience is a plus.</li>\n <li>Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.</li>\n <li>Strong communication and teamwork skills.</li>\n <li>Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>",
