    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Health Educator </span></p>\n<p>The Holmes County General Health District is actively seeking a qualified candidate for the full-time position of Health Educator.  Under the general supervision of the Director of Prevention and Wellness, the Health Educator will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate health education programs.  The Health educator will also be responsible for health promotion activities such as maintenance of the agency’s social media sites and website, and creation of educational materials and publications.  This position will work primarily in Creating Healthy Communities and Child Injury Prevention.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ESSENTIAL DUTIES MAY INCLUDE:</span></p>\n<ol>\n<li>Plan, implement, and evaluate evidence-based programs related to healthy eating and active living and child injury prevention.</li>\n<li>Serve as the CHC project lead, including coordination of workplan activities, partner and community engagement, and required grant reporting.</li>\n<li>Build and maintain collaborative relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and coalitions to support policy, systems, and environmental (PSE) change initiatives.</li>\n<li>Develop and deliver child injury prevention programming, including but not limited to safe sleep education and child passenger safety (car seat) initiatives.</li>\n<li>Plan and implement community health promotion activities, outreach events, and campaigns that address identified community health priorities.</li>\n<li>Create culturally appropriate educational materials and presentations to promote healthy behaviors.</li>\n<li>Assist with grant writing, budget tracking, and identification of additional funding opportunities to sustain and expand programming.</li>\n<li>Represent the health department at community meetings, events, and professional networks.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with internal staff across programs to integrate health education efforts and support agency-wide initiatives.</li>\n<li>Maintain accurate and timely documentation of program activities, services provided, and required reports.</li>\n<li>Participates in Emergency Preparedness activities and be trained in I.C.S.</li>\n<li>Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.</li>\n</ol>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">QUALIFIED CANDIDATES MUST POSSESS:</span></p>\n<p>Bachelor degree in Health Education, Public Health or related field.
