    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><h1><span style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Ecobat is seeking individuals with mechanical aptitude and stick welding experience to join our Maintenance department. Ecobat is a leader in the collection, recycling and production of energy storage solutions, lead and polypropylene products, and other commodities essential to modern life.</span></h1><h1 id=\"isPasted\">I. Position Description</h1><p>Provides operations and production support through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and installation.</p><h2>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</h2><ul><li>Performs corrective and preventative mechanical maintenance.</li><li>Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains mechanical equipment and systems using schematics, drawings, and other technical documentation.</li><li>Performs mechanical installation of new plant equipment.</li><li>Repairs processing equipment such as pumps, piping, and machinery components.</li><li>Performs steel fabrications, repairs, and modifications.</li><li>Keeps work area neat, clean, and free of debris.</li><li>Instruct, implement, and enforce the company safety program and site-specific safety requirements.</li><li>Complies with all environmental, health, safety, and housekeeping programs.</li><li>Performs other duties, as assigned by supervisor and/or higher classifications.</li></ul><h1>II. Qualifications</h1><h2>A. PRE-HIRE REQUIREMENTS</h2><ul><li>2-3 years&rsquo; recent industrial or related experience in millwright, industrial maintenance, or machine repair work.</li><li data-pasted=\"true\">Ability to pass S.M.A.W welding test.</li><li>Knowledge of various metal properties.</li><li>Ability to read schematics and blueprints.</li><li>Ability to complete assigned work in a safe manner.</li><li>Ability to safely demonstrate shop and hand tool operation.</li><li>Ability to utilize computer operating systems.</li><li>Good verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Average leadership skills, work ethic and problem solving.</li><li>Able to work any shift, overtime, and rotating weekends.</li></ul><h2>B. Physical Requirements &amp; Work Environment</h1><h2>A. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS</h2><p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. &nbsp;The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. &nbsp;The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. &nbsp;Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.</p><h2>B. WORK ENVIRONMENT</h2><p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock.
