    "requisitionDescription": "<p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Owatonna People&#39;s Press News Reporter</strong></p><p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p><p>Owatonna People&#39;s Press is looking for a full-time reporter. AMM offers excellent wages and benefits. The reporter, who ideally has some experience, will cover a bit of everything for the weekly newspaper, serious news, light features and personal profiles.</p><p>Applicants should like working with people and have good interpersonal skills.</p><p>As a reporter, you&rsquo;ll work the occasional evening or weekend. But you&rsquo;ll also get to see things most people don&rsquo;t get to see. The reporter will meet and interview important people.</p><p><strong>This is a full-time IN HOUSE position</strong>, with occasional weeknight and weekend assignments as part of the job.</p><p><strong>Job Functions</strong></p><p>The successful candidate must be flexible, attentive to details, diplomatic, able to take direction, and able to multitask. This position will work with different personality types and across a number of publications. Candidates for this position should have strong interpersonal skills and client orientation and exhibit an ability to work effectively with internal and external contacts as a team member as well as a team leader.</p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p>Essential Functions</p><ul><li>Ability to write and to provide clean copy, to take photos and video, strong organizational skills</li><li>Must be able to accept instruction and editing suggestions from editors</li><li>Must be able to work cooperatively with the public</li><li>Perform job duties and conduct self in accordance with company core values</li><li>Initiate and nurture effective, professional relationships with internal and external contacts</li><li>Responsibility to write headlines</li></ul><p><strong>Minimum Requirements</strong></p><p>Prior reporting/editing experience preferred.</p><p>Demonstrated ability to multitask.</p><p>Must have own transportation.</p><p><strong>Technology Skills</strong></p><p>Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is helpful.
