With a combined legacy of resilience, Magnera will build personal partnerships that withstand an ever-changing world.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>JOB SUMMARY:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>The Machine Operator (Doctor Dept) will Assist in producing and controlling the quality of film produced.  Ensure product quality and control of production processes.  Provide a safe work environment through proper training and communication.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Dimensions</strong>:  This position is responsible for working closely with the Lead Operator and Assistant Production Manager to ensure customer quality expectations and site goals and objectives are being met.  </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Accurately report and document any problems, issues, downtime and corrective measures in the  </li>\n</ul>\n<p>          line log book.  </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assists in the training of new hires.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Responsible for ensuring finished products are within customer specifications.   </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure and verify all outgoing products are labeled and packaged according to customer  </li>\n</ul>\n<p>          specifications.  </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Responsible for housekeeping on the line and adjacent areas. Follow GMP & 5S guidelines.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Adhere to all safety policies and procedures. Demonstrate a safety conscious manner.    </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure proper and safe use of all facility equipment.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Work with maintenance technicians to complete minor and preventative maintenance on the line.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain communication with Lead Operator and Assistant Production Manager of any problems  </li>\n</ul>\n<p>           or issues experienced on the line that could result in an extended period of downtime.  </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain daily production rate at acceptable levels as determined by management. Keep machine </li>\n</ul>\n<p>         downtime to a minimum to maximize output rates.  </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Support plant and company goals.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform all quality checks accurately and ensure that all data is recorded properly on checklists.  </li>\n</ul>\n<p>          Can make quality decisions on materials for shipment or rejection.  </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure that oncoming shift has all materials needed to get started at the beginning of the shift.   </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure that all FIFO requirements are followed.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure Lean Initiatives are achieved.   </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Education: </strong>H.S. Diploma or GED  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Experience</strong><em>: Manufacturing experience preferred.</em>  </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>COMPETENCIES:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of and skills in the use of office machines (computer and copier) and business procedures. Strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude and experience. Understanding of the basic fundamentals of plastic product machinery and the process behind the mechanics. Ability to use equipment properly such as tow motors, cutting tools and lifting hoists  </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Job functions will be performed in and around production, warehouse and office areas and within a broad range of temperatures ranging from 40-120 degrees Fahrenheit.   </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>EFFORT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Requires prolonged sitting and frequent bending (20%), standing and walking (65%), occasional lifting and carrying of up to 50lbs, pulling and pushing (15% utilizing material handling equipment to lift & move rolls averaging 175 lbs), manual dexterity and the ability to distinguish numbers & letters.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Pre-employment Aptitude Testing:</strong>  Must be able to pass all sections of the validated pre-employment aptitude test.  </li>\n</ul>",
