    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">NOW HIRING: </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Weekend Supervisor</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">The Weekend Building Supervisor position is responsible for a wide range of tasks including customer service, assisting with maintenance duties and the front desk, and the on-site supervision of shows, expos, tournaments and rentals.  Must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">QUALIFICATIONS:</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must be 21 or older.  Basic computer skills are required as well as the ability to learn Rec Trac 3.1.  The successful candidate must be able to work independently, have excellent customer service, communication and decision making skills.  Strong organizational habits are recommended and must have a valid driver’s license.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Pavilion Maintenance Supervisor and Pavilion General Manager. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">INCENTIVES:  </span></p>\n<p><span>Part time employees receive 25% off general programs with the exception of PDNA, contracted, trips and private lessons. In order to encourage a healthy lifestyle for our staff members, the Park District provides all staff with the opportunity to use our fitness facilities at the Community Pavilion and the Racquet, Fitness and Gymnastics Center free of charge.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ABOUT US: </span></p>\n<p><span>The Oak Lawn Park District, incorporated in 1944, has a long and proud history of serving the recreational needs of our 56,000 residents with a myriad of recreational programs and services. We operate under the state tax cap as a municipal corporation, meaning we are our own taxing body. Overseen by a Board of five elected officials, the District manages a combination of 34 parks and facilities which cover over 280 acres. In addition, we manage a Special Recreation Cooperative that offers recreational programs and services to individuals with disabilities in 9 municipalities.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>*The Oak Lawn Park District is an equal opportunity employer. Those applicants requiring accommodations to the application and/or interview process should contact a representative of the Personnel Department.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Oversee facility rentals including helping guests to the appropriate rooms, setup, clean up, and monitoring parties and rentals. </span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Assist with conflict resolution.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Support staff for part time recreation, front desk, and maintenance staff as well as assisting the front desk during high traffic periods with registrations, daily visits, customer service and memberships. </span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Will occasionally have to visit two satellite facilities to assist with rentals and possibly cleaning. </span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Will also provide onsite supervision of small trade shows, expos, and tournaments. </span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Ensure patrons are following code of conduct/rules as well as responding to a variety of issues including scheduling, rentals, customer service, maintenance or other issues that may occur. </span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Communicating issues with program supervisors that may arise during weekend programs is also essential.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must be able to go up on the catwalk and assist with “electric drops” for special events.</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">AVAILABILITY:</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">12 - 16 hours per week.  Employee should be able to work Saturday and Sunday between 10AM – 8PM.  Hours can be somewhat flexible depending on employees needs and the needs of the facility.   </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><br>Observe and enforce the practical safety rules, regulations and procedures.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">PHYSICAL CONSIDERATIONS:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><br>Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer</li>\n<li><br>Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">PSYCHOLOGICAL CONSIDERATIONS:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><br>Must be able to work closely with co-workers</li>\n<li><br>Must be able to work well with the general public</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ENVIRONMENTAL CONSIDERATIONS:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><br>Worker must be able to work indoors and outdoors on occasion in weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, and rain)</li>\n<li><br>Indoor environmental conditions will include lighting and temperature</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">COGNITIVE CONSIDERATIONS:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><br>The ability to read, write, and organize materials</li>\n<li><br>Must be able to follow directions - oral and written</li>\n</ul>",
