    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The Chief Estimator will serve as a key leader and trusted partner for Liberty’s Mission Critical division, reporting directly to the Vice President, Mission Critical and serving on the regional leadership team. This role is instrumental in driving the growth, performance, and reputation of the Southeast Region by ensuring our preconstruction services set the foundation for successful project delivery.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Chief Estimator will lead all aspects of preconstruction, including estimating, budgeting, scheduling, constructability reviews, and client engagement. This leader will bring deep expertise in cost estimation across core construction divisions, an ability to partner with operations teams, and a passion for building high-performing teams that deliver accuracy, innovation, and value to clients.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p><em><strong>Strategic Leadership</strong></em></p>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Serve as the regional leader for all preconstruction efforts, aligning strategy with the Southeast Region’s growth and business objectives.</li>\n   <li>Partner closely with the Vice President, Southeast and regional leadership team to drive pursuit strategy, project acquisition, and client satisfaction.</li>\n   <li>Represent preconstruction in executive discussions, client presentations, and industry forums.</li>\n  </ul><p><em><strong>Preconstruction & Estimating Excellence</strong></em></p>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Oversee all cost estimating, take-offs, pricing, and budgeting for projects across the West Region.</li>\n   <li>Ensure accuracy, competitiveness, and alignment with market conditions across all construction divisions (general requirements, concrete, structural, finishes, etc.).</li>\n   <li>Drive innovation in preconstruction practices, including use of technology, benchmarking, and cost databases.</li>\n  </ul><p><em><strong>Team Development & Collaboration</strong></em></p>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Lead, mentor, and develop a team of estimators and preconstruction professionals, building a culture of accountability, excellence, and growth.</li>\n   <li>Collaborate with operations to ensure seamless handoff from preconstruction to execution.</li>\n   <li>Champion continuous learning and professional development within the preconstruction function.</li>\n  </ul><p><em><strong>Client & Market Engagement</strong></em></p>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Build and strengthen client and partner relationships to position Liberty as the contractor of choice.</li>\n   <li>Participate in business development pursuits, proposals, and interviews, providing expertise and leadership.</li>\n   <li>Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on cost, feasibility, value engineering, and constructability</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.</li>\n <li>Minimum of 10 years’ experience in commercial construction performing cost estimation and preconstruction leadership.</li>\n <li>High degree of construction knowledge with strong analytical and mathematical skills.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to read and interpret project plans, drawings, and specifications.</li>\n <li>Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; able to present with confidence to internal teams and external clients.</li>\n <li>Strong management, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li>\n <li>Proficiency with estimating and construction software, including Microsoft Office, Sage Estimating, Digital Takeoff Programs, Bluebeam, OnScreen Takeoff, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and Timberline.</li>\n <li>Advanced technical skills in a Windows environment, with the ability to collect and analyze data in Excel, and prepare professional documents and correspondence in Outlook and Word.</li>\n <li>Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks with a focus on thoroughness, accuracy, and meeting deadlines.</li>\n <li>Collaborative, team-oriented leadership style with the ability to thrive in a professional, fast-paced environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Working Conditions</h2>\n<p>General office working conditions along with exposure to field operations. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time, talk and hear; perform fine motor, hand and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with arms and/or hands. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
