Line/Prep Cook – Pillars Café
Shepherd Church is seeking a reliable and experienced Line/Prep Cook to join our Pillars Café team as a part time employee! If you love working with food, value teamwork, and enjoy serving others in a warm and welcoming environment, we’d love to meet you.
What You’ll Do
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workspace throughout your shift, including immediate cleanup and regular trash removal.
Prepare and stock ingredients (meats, proteins, cheeses, vegetables, sauces, etc.) and ensure all items are properly labeled, dated, and stored.
Execute customer orders efficiently and accurately without compromising quality.
Coordinate with the Lead Cook at the start and end of shifts regarding prep needs, menu updates, and next-day requirements.
What We’re Looking For
2+ years of experience in a restaurant or commercial kitchen
Strong understanding of food preparation, safety, and sanitation standards
Ability to operate standard kitchen equipment (grill, oven, fryer, etc.)
Valid Food Handler’s Card
Weekend availability is required
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, lift up to 40 lbs, and stand for extended periods
Able to work 20–29 hours weekly
