    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div style=\"font-family:'Segoe UI';font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:400;line-height:20px;\" data-pasted=\"true\">We are seeking an experienced <strong>Assistant Director of Technical Services</strong> to help lead laboratory, component, and distribution operations in a regulated blood center environment. This role supports the Technical Services Director and helps ensure compliance with <strong>FDA, AABB, and state regulations&nbsp;</strong>while maintaining safe blood products for patients and manufacturing.<h2><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h2><ul><li>Support daily oversight of laboratory, component, and distribution operations</li><li>Serve in place of the Technical Services Director when needed</li><li>Perform batch release functions for donor units prior to labeling</li><li>Supervise staff scheduling and ensure adequate coverage across shifts</li><li>Oversee quality control, proficiency testing, validations, and occurrence tracking</li><li>Support staff training, competency assessments, and performance oversight</li><li>Assist with supply inventory, billing records, equipment, and departmental budget management</li><li>Promote strong teamwork and positive customer and employee relations</li></ul><h2><strong>Qualifications</strong></h2><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Medical Technology or related science <strong>OR</strong></li><li>Associate degree from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program with additional Medical Technologist certification <strong>OR</strong></li><li>Equivalent experience with Medical Technologist certification</li></ul><h2><strong>Preferred Experience</strong></h2><ul><li>5+ years of Medical Technologist experience</li><li>Background in chemistry, hematology, blood banking, and microbiology preferred</li><li>1&ndash;3 years of supervisory experience in a blood center or diagnostic laboratory</li></ul><h2><strong>Skills &amp; Knowledge</strong></h2><ul><li>Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills</li><li>Excellent attention to detail</li><li>Ability to troubleshoot technical and employee issues in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Knowledge of regulatory compliance for blood donor centers</li><li>Ability to train, evaluate, and support staff development</li></ul><h2><strong>Certification</strong></h2><ul><li>Medical Technologist certification through <strong>ASCP</strong> or equivalent preferred</li></ul><h2><strong>Physical &amp; Work Environment</strong></h2><ul><li>Ability to stand for extended periods and perform moderate physical activity</li><li>May lift, push, or pull equipment and materials up to 60 pounds</li><li>Work is performed in a donor center laboratory environment with exposure to biological and chemical hazards</li></ul><p><br></p><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>DISCLAIMER:</strong></p><p>This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
