We are committed to fostering a work environment focused on teamwork that celebrates diversity, promotes equity and ensures equal access to information, development and opportunity for all of our Healthcare Pros.</p>\n<h2>Position Overview</h2>\n<p>The purpose of this position is to provide technical assistance and supportive patient care to meet the needs of individual patients throughout assigned areas.</p>\n<h2>Essential Job Functions</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Collect, report, and document clinical data. Take vital signs, height and weight, intake and output, pulse oximetry, and collect specimens</li>\n <li>Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing in accordance with established policies and procedures, as well as COLA and CLIA regulations</li>\n <li>Assist with patient activities and care as assigned by the charge nurse/designee as indicated by the patient’s plan of care</li>\n <li>Provide for superficial wound care</li>\n <li>Provide for patient safety related to age and condition</li>\n <li>Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality of information and records at all times</li>\n <li>Provide and maintain a clean, safe environment and perform and/or assist others to perform proper aseptic technique, isolation procedures, and infection control measures</li>\n <li>Assist with the admission, transfer, and discharge of the patient</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Other Job Functions</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Prepare patients and chaperone during examinations/procedures or assists with other patient treatments</li>\n <li>Maintain patient care areas with appropriate supplies</li>\n <li>Assist with patient restraints and maintain precautions; collect, report and document data related to patient needs/emergencies and unusual patient and family behavior</li>\n <li>Travel to all facility locations as required</li>\n <li>Attend staff meetings or other company sponsored or mandated meetings as required</li>\n <li>Perform additional duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Basic Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or GED, required and completion of one of the following:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Completion of Medical Corpsman program and one year of applicable experience (OR) </li>\n   <li>Completion of EMT-P (Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic), AEMT (Advanced-EMT), Licensed Paramedic (LP) course/program and one year of applicable experience (OR)</li>\n   <li>Completion of EMT-B (Emergency Medical Technician-Basic) and 1+ years of emergency room experience as an ER Technician or hospital equivalent experience [Oklahoma, North TX, Wisconsin & Pennsylvania markets only] (OR)</li>\n   <li>Completion of the first year of education and current enrollment in an accredited School of Nursing and one year of applicable experience (OR)</li>\n   <li>2+ years of emergency room experience as an ER Technician (OR)</li>\n   <li>3+ years as a CNA with relevant hospital experience (Wisconsin market only)</li>\n   <li>3+ years as a Certified Anesthesia Tech/OR Tech experience (Wisconsin market only)</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross, required</li>\n <li>Current ACLS/ALS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required in most markets.\n  <ul>\n   <li>Exceptions where it is strongly preferred include Pittsburgh, Oklahoma, El Paso, DFW, and Central PA (WellSpan Hospitals)</li>\n   <li>Wisconsin (required only for EMT-P roles).</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Current PALS certifications through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross, strongly preferred</li>\n <li>Experience with IV start, phlebotomy, and initiation of EKG, strongly preferred</li>\n <li><em>For the Las Vegas market only</em>, one of the following is required:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Active Paramedic (EMT-P) license, maintained throughout employment (OR)</li>\n   <li>Active Advanced EMT (A-EMT) license, maintained throughout employment (OR)</li>\n   <li>Completion of an IV certification course (one-time requirement) AND one of the following:\n    <ul>\n     <li>Active phlebotomy license, maintained throughout employment (OR)</li>\n     <li>Lab Assistant certification, maintained throughout employment</li>\n    </ul></li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Position requires fluency in English; written and oral communication</li>\n <li><u>Pennsylvania Candidates</u>: Act 33 (Child Abuse History Clearance), & Act 73 (FBI Fingerprint Criminal History Clearance) completed within the last 5 years, or must be obtained prior to start date.</li>\n</ul>",
