    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Behavioral Health Associates (BHA) is an educational organization.  We offer an academic learning environment integrated with behavior support services for students diagnosed with emotional/behavioral disorders to empower the students in overcoming challenges and creating new stories in their lives.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\"> </span></p>\n<p>We currently have an opening for an Elementary Teacher.   </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">JOB GOAL</span><br></p>\n<p>Administer instruction to students and help them develop the skills necessary to be successful within the school setting.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide instruction to students in assigned classes.</li>\n<li>Create and implement weekly lesson plans.</li>\n<li>Preparation for assigned classes.</li>\n<li>Assessment and reporting of student performance.</li>\n<li>Identifying students' various emotional, social, academic, and behavioral needs.</li>\n<li>Work and communicate with parents and staff regarding student needs and progress.</li>\n<li>Arrive at the job site according to the established work schedule.</li>\n<li>Coordinate classroom duties with support staff and administration.</li>\n<li>Be responsible for equipment and materials for the program.</li>\n<li>Have current lesson plans and appropriate materials available for use by any substitute, if necessary.</li>\n<li>Directly responsible for supervising the work of the support staff.</li>\n<li>Utilize non-violent crisis prevention intervention techniques when necessary.</li>\n<li>Contribute to the development and maintenance of an environment which is non-threatening, safe, restorative, and where the students feel respected, accepted, and part of the school community.</li>\n<li>Attend staff meetings as required.</li>\n<li>Contribute to the school environment using techniques and strategies found within restorative practices guidelines.</li>\n<li>Follow any other job-related directions or duties as instructed by the Program Director.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">QUALIFICATIONS</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate</li>\n<li>Experience from a previous school or agency is preferred</li>\n<li>Experience working with children/students</li>\n<li>Utilizes effective written and oral expression</li>\n<li>Basic computer literacy</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">BENEFITS</span><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Full Time</li>\n<li>Paid Leave for Sick and Personal Days</li>\n<li>Time Off for School Holiday and Breaks</li>\n<li>Paid Year Round</li>\n<li>Choice of Two Medical Plans, Dental, Vision and Voluntary Life Insurance</li>\n<li>Company Paid: Group Life Insurance and Employee Assistance Program</li>\n<li>Retirement Plan with Company Match up to 3% of your Annual Salary</li>\n<li>Tuition Reimbursement</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>When applying to this position, please include your Standard PA Teaching Application, letter of interest, resume, current clearances and copy of PA Teaching Certification.</p>\n<p><a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https://bhaeducation.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/New-fillable-BHA-application.pdf\">Click Here to complete the Standard Application for Teaching Positions in PA</a></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 13px;\">BHA is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
