We are a place where you can belong and become. <strong>We are genuine:</strong> we value you and embrace your individuality. <strong>We are hopeful</strong>: we believe in you and your potential to become a catalyst in the world. <strong>We are nurturing</strong>: we support you in your journey to develop your full potential. <strong>We are determined</strong>: above all else, we are on a relentless quest to make our community stronger beginning with you.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Lead and develop a team of youth development associates at your site.</p></li>\n <li><p>Ensure the safety and wellbeing of each child by operating the program in a safe and purposeful manner.</p></li>\n <li>Manage site operations and compliance with YMCA and licensing standards.</li>\n <li>Prepare weekly/monthly activity plans and snack menus that meet established educational and environmental standards.</li>\n <li>Maintain financial records, collect and monitor bi-weekly fee payment process, including monitoring accounts receivables and communicating with families about balances.</li>\n <li>Distributes a professional site newsletter and calendar on a monthly basis.</li>\n <li>Organizes and meets fundraising site goal and actively recruits at least one parent volunteer from the program to assist with meeting the goal. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Associate’s degree, either in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, Psychology, or a related field <strong>or</strong> sufficient college coursework/credits and a minimum of six months experience in order to meet state licensing requirements for Director Approval at the capacity of the site.</li>\n <li>Qualifications to obtain a Program Director’s approval, in the state of Kansas or Missouri, holding a license for the capacity of the site.</li>\n <li>Minimum of six months experience in understanding and applying the principles of school-age development and programming in a before and after school program.</li>\n <li>Relationship building and leadership skills.</li>\n <li>Sensitivity to clientele and associates representing a variety of family, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds.</li>\n <li>Active involvement with and supervision of children requiring physical stamina, alertness, and emotional stability.</li>\n <li>Commitment and desire to provide quality school age programming.</li>\n</ul>",
