    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The faculty will be responsible for providing educational leadership and student instruction on a part-time basis in Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning courses.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Associate's Degree in HVAC or a related discipline, OR, equivalent combination of education and work experience that qualifies the individual to perform the functions of the position. Required</li>\n <li>Bachelor's Degree in HVAC or related discipline. Preferred</li>\n <li>Formal coursework in Education. Preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li> Valid and in State Valid Driver's License. Required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>EXPERIENCE</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Three (3) years of trade experience; OR, Journey or Master Plumbers License; OR, eligibility for interim teaching certificate. Required</li>\n <li>Professional teaching experience. Preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>ABILITIES AND SKILLS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with students, faculty, staff and the public. Required</li>\n <li>Sensitivity to the expectations of students, faculty, and staff. Required</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form. Required</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Instruct and evaluate student performance in Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning courses.</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate written records of student performance.</li>\n <li>Assume responsibility for laboratory coordination and maintenance.</li>\n <li>Provide coordination and supervision for instructional field projects.</li>\n <li>Comply with College safety, hazardous waste disposal, and recycling policies.</li>\n <li>Complete official student rosters and return to school office as required.</li>\n <li>Supervise students in laboratory cleanup activities.</li>\n <li>Maintain office hours according to part time agreement.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Attend school and department meetings as requested.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Physical Standards and Special Job Features</h2>None\n<h2>Pay Transparency</h2>The part-time rate for 2026/27 will be the greater of $1180 per credit or $787 per contact hour, prorated for student enrollment under seven. The approved substitute pay rate is $49.17 per hour during the first week of substituting and the prorated part-time teacher rate for consecutive substitute assignments that exceed one week.\n<h2>College Statement</h2>This is not a complete itemization of all facets of this position.
