Lee Pesky Learning Center (LPLC) is seeking Literacy pod tutors to join our team for the Summer Bridge program in Wood River</span></p>\n<p><span>LPLC, a leader in education nonprofits, is a comprehensive training, service, and research center with a rich history and a promising future. Located in Boise, Idaho, with a satellite office in the Sun Valley area, LPLC was founded in 1997 by Alan and Wendy Pesky in honor of their son, Lee. Today, LPLC provides evaluation and one-on-one intensive intervention to individuals facing obstacles to learning while also training teachers in the classroom and supporting students in schools and communities. We recognize that obstacles to learning can be multi-faceted, and we understand the power of prevention.</span></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"color: rgb(36, 36, 36); font-size: 10pt\">Tutors working for Lee Pesky Literacy Pods will teach elementary-aged students during the summer months. Tutors will teach within a pre-established program and will be supported by the Director of School &amp; Community Programs and an onsite lead tutor. Tutors will work alongside other adults who want to contribute to making a difference in the lives of young learners. </span></span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">The Tutor follows a scripted, evidence-based instructional program and uses research-based instructional methods to teach young students how to read.
