You will be responsible for the safe and efficient set up, maintenance, and removal of traffic control measures in various work zones across the lower mainland. You will work with contractors involved in heavy underground, light utility, electrical, paving, road building, and special events. You role will be instrumental in ensuring safety and regulatory compliance while minimizing traffic disruptions, upholding standards, and providing a secure work environment for our teams and community. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What you will be responsible for:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><em>Traffic Control</em></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead Traffic Control persons, providing direction and guidance to set up and tear down signs, work zone delineations, and ensure safe traffic control.</li>\n<li>Set up traffic control zones.</li>\n<li>Give clear and precise traffic control directions and signals for motorists' understanding.</li>\n<li>Monitor the traffic and work zone and modify when scope of work changes.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><em>Safety and Compliance</em></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Effectively conduct traffic control at worksites within the scope of training to protect workers, the public, and our employees.</li>\n<li>Comply with all Acts, Regulations, Guidelines, Policies, and Procedures for health and safety.</li>\n<li>Participate in accident/incident investigations as required and complete necessary forms and reports for due diligence and compliance.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><em>Special Events and Meetings</em></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct traffic control at Special Events when required, following the direction of the company's Special Events coordinator.</li>\n<li>Attend health and safety tool-box/tailgate meetings to discuss work related matters.</li>\n<li>Hazards must be addressed in a Field Level Risk Assessment (FLRA) and must be complete prior to work commencing.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><em>Reporting and Communication</em></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Report directly to the contractor's site supervisor, taking their direction for traffic control setup and safety if no Lane Closure Technician or Traffic Control Supervisor from the company is on-site.</li>\n<li>Report health and safety matters, non-compliance issues, or conflicts with any company employee to the company's Area Manager or Health and Safety Officer. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><em>Safety Gear and Equipment</em></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Always wear all personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by WorkSafeBC regulations or site safety rules, policies, or procedures.</li>\n<li>Use proper protocol when using two-way radios and refrain from the use of profane or vulgar language.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><em>Certification and Training</em></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensures the BC Traffic Control Person (TCP) certificate is maintained to be current and valid at all times.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What you get from us:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Signing bonus of $1000 for experienced LCTs (<em>terms and conditions apply</em>).</li>\n<li><span>A new company pickup truck and gas card!</span></li>\n<li><span>A highly experienced and knowledgeable Health &amp;
