Supervision Received: Performs work under general supervision with review and advice from manager or a senior level professional. Develops architectural and interior designs in line with client specifications, budget, and local regulatory laws. Creates detailed architectural plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Presents designs, proposals, and progress reports to clients and stakeholders. Collaborates with engineers, contractors, and other professionals involved in the project. Oversees and guides the construction process, ensuring that the project adheres to the planned design, quality standards, and safety regulations. Manages project deadlines and budgets, and makes necessary adjustments to keep the project on track. Stays updated on the latest architectural trends, technologies, and regulations. Addresses any issues or delays that may arise during the construction process. Serves as a technical resource or mentor to other employees. May lead or instruct less experienced workers in high-level or technical roles. May perform other duties as assigned. In-depth knowledge of relevant building laws, regulations, and codes, ensuring that all designs comply with legal requirements and industry standards. Skill in the use of personal computers and standard office software and software related to architectural design and visualization. Ability to: make and analyze comprehensive architectural designs. Ability to present information clearly and effectively in pictorial and written forms. Ability to analyze situations accurately, and adopt an effective course of action. Exceptional communication and project management skills, allowing you to effectively collaborate with clients, contractors, and team members while ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Education and Experience - Bachelor's Degree in Architecture. Five (5) years of progressively responsible professional experience in the practice of architecture/design. Demonstrated work experience as an architect/designer, with a substantial background in leadership roles where you have successfully guided and managed architectural projects from inception to completion. Must be able to understand master specifications. A comprehensive portfolio that not only highlights your design skills but also reflects your unique aesthetic and innovative approach to architectural challenges. Advanced proficiency in a variety of design and visualization software, including AutoCAD, Revit, and 3D Studio Max, enabling you to create detailed and accurate architectural plans and 3D models. Preferred Requirements - Six plus years of increasingly responsible, related professional experience in the practice of Architecture. License Architect and or NCIDQ certified candidate, a plus but not a requirement. Work Environment: Required physical, lifting, and sensory capabilities are requirements to perform the job successfully. Typical environmental conditions associated with job. Lifting Requirements: Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force to move objects.
