This role ensures a safe and efficient workplace while maintaining compliance with company policies, safety guidelines, and food safety practices.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p>- Operate forklifts and transport equipment to move bins, fruit, packed product, and supplies</p><p>- Load/unload incoming and outgoing trucks, including grower shipments</p><p>- Prepare delivery receipts, shipping documents, and airway bills as needed</p><p>- Inspect and perform minor repairs/adjustments on equipment</p><p>- Assist with repairs and servicing of equipment</p><p>- Maintain clean and safe work areas, following all safety and food safety procedures</p><p>- Support utility crew operations, including repair/maintenance of treatment bins</p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><p>- High school diploma preferred (not required)</p><p>- One year of forklift driving experience required</p><p>- Previous experience in food handling or a manufacturing environment preferred</p><p>- Ability to read and follow instructions (written and oral)</p><p>- Strong teamwork, dependability, and adaptability</p><p>- Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in cold/hot environments</p><p><strong>Work Environment &amp; Requirements</strong></p><p>- PPE (hair net, smock, sleeves, long pants, non-slip footwear) required</p><p>- Exposure to cold or hot environments and moving machinery</p><p>- Must adhere to Calavo&rsquo;s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)</p><p>- Responsible for food safety and security awareness in daily duties</p><p><em>** Per Union Agreement</em></p><p><br></p><p><br></p></div></div></div></div>\n",
