Under the direct supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse, the CNA provides specific direct patient care activities and performs related support functions within his/her scope of responsibility as specified in this job description.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Responds appropriately in an emergent situation as per hospital policy.</li>\n <li>Utilizes principles of Infection Control in the delivery of care.</li>\n <li>Accurately performs and records vital signs including blood pressure</li>\n <li>Monitors and records patient intake and output accurately</li>\n <li>Provides for patient’s personal care needs-hygiene, toileting, feeding and bed making</li>\n <li>Performs waive testing according to policy and procedure</li>\n <li>Observes care of patients on suicidal, constant and safety precautions</li>\n <li>Transport patients as assigned.</li>\n <li>Implements restraints according to policy and procedure.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>High School or GED required. BCLS and completed certified Nursing Assistant course.</p>",
