If you would like to join a company who wins high profile projects with blue chip clients and if you enjoy working in a stimulating environment, then Flynn is the company for you. </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Please specify the location you would like to work in (Dublin, Limerick or Cork). </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">REPORTING TO: </span>Project Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Purpose of Role:</span></p>\n<p>Develop understanding of all Quantity Surveying duties on your project to ensure commercial and contractual commitments are met under direction of Flynn's commercial team. </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Role Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Administer cost systems, change order logs, variations and claims register as directed by project QS. </li>\n<li>Monitor all project costs as directed by the project QS.</li>\n<li>Assist in procuring and letting subcontractor packages.</li>\n<li>Validate subcontractors/suppliers' interim payments and submit to Flynn's commercial team for approval. </li>\n<li>Identify, document and track claims and variations with the Flynn project team. </li>\n<li>Keep the project team informed of all commercial activity, report changes to project QS. </li>\n<li>Maintain professional working relationships with the clients and the representatives to whom you are exposed to. </li>\n<li>Ensure your cost reporting is accurate and submitted on time. </li>\n<li>Assist in identifying commercial risks and change opportunities with Flynn's project teams and report to project QS.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">The Candidate:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying/Construction Economics.</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to communicate well with the project teams.</span></li>\n<li><span>Good writing skills.</span></li>\n<li><span>Willingness to learn and develop.</span></li>\n<li><span>Demonstrates a commercial awareness and understanding.</span></li>\n<li><span>Basic knowledge of construction process and techniques.</span></li>\n<li><span>Attention to detail and strong work ethic.</span></li>\n<li><span>Good I.T Skills (Microsoft Office/Build asift knowledge desirable)</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Remuneration: </span></p>\n<p><span>Flynn offer a competitive remuneration package to include basic salary, bonus, pension and life assurance, healthcare, car allowance.</span></p>",
