    "description": "<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Head of Business Intelligence</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">This role will be based on-site in our Gzira, Malta offices.</span><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Reports to:</span> Chief Operating Officer.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>At Megapixel you will lead a tight-knit team currently working on exciting projects at the cutting edge of analytics in the iGaming industry.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>As our next Head of Business Intelligence, you will lead the analytics function across the entire business — from data ingestion and modeling through to analysis, reporting, predictive modeling, and AI-enabled analytics. You will manage a team of data analysts, analytics engineers, and data engineers, and partner closely with the executive team and managers across every function of the business to drive decisions at the highest level.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>The BI function is well-established at Megapixel, with a small team of analysts and engineers in place.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Our stack:</span> Kafka, Spark on EMR, S3 data lake, Snowflake + dbt for analytics engineering, Airflow for orchestration, and Tableau for reporting.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Your time will be split roughly evenly between three areas: team, stakeholder, and project management; data architecture; and hands-on high-value analytics work.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead and grow the BI function, setting technical direction and best-practices across data engineering, analytics engineering, and analytics.</li>\n<li>Manage, mentor, and develop a team of data analysts, analytics engineers, and data engineers.</li>\n<li>Partner with the executive team and managers across the business to identify, scope, and deliver high-value analytics opportunities.</li>\n<li>Own the end-to-end data architecture, from ingestion and modeling through to reporting, predictive modeling, and AI-enabled analytics.</li>\n<li>Deliver hands-on analysis on the most strategically important problems facing the business.</li>\n<li>Drive the adoption of predictive and AI-enabled analytics across every team.</li>\n<li>Translate complex analyses into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders up to and including the executive suite.</li>\n<li>Plan and prioritize the team's roadmap against competing demands from across the business.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Requirements</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proven track record leading analytics or BI teams in industry.</li>\n<li>Strong SQL skills and deep familiarity with modern cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or similar).</li>\n<li>Hands-on experience across the full analytics stack — ingestion, modeling, reporting, and predictive modeling.</li>\n<li>Experience with dbt and modern analytics engineering practices.</li>\n<li>Programming skills in Python or R.</li>\n<li>Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or similar.</li>\n<li>Experience applying statistics and predictive modeling to industry problems.</li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills and a track record of working directly with executives and senior stakeholders.</li>\n<li>Fluency in written and spoken English.</li>\n<li>7+ years' experience in analytics, with at least 3 years in a management role.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Nice to Have</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>A degree in a quantitative subject, or equivalent practical experience.</li>\n<li>Experience with AWS (S3, Lambda, EMR, MWAA).</li>\n<li>Experience deploying ML or AI models in production.</li>\n<li>Experience integrating LLMs or AI tooling into analytics workflows.</li>\n<li>Experience within online gaming.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What we Offer</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>A great atmosphere and company culture</li>\n<li>Work from home policy </li>\n<li>Private health insurance</li>\n<li>Fitness benefits</li>\n<li>Weekly wellness days (massage, etc.)</li>\n<li>Fresh fruits and snacks</li>\n<li>Weekly team lunches and breakfasts</li>\n<li>Fantastic company events</li>\n<li>Opportunity to learn and improve skills</li>\n</ul>",
