    "description": "<p>Employment Type</p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Group Supervisor</li>\r\n\t<li>Full Time</li>\r\n\t<li>Location: Rowan Elementary (Seneca Valley School District, Cranberry Twp., PA)</li>\r\n\t<li>Age Range: Kindergarten -4th grade</li>\r\n\t<li>Benefits for Full-Time Employees: Medical, Dental, Vision, Tuition Discounts, Paid Time Off, IRA +Matching, Short Term and Long Term Disability, Life Insurance, Continuing Education Funds.</li>\r\n\t<li>$500 Signing Bonus after first 90 days.</li>\r\n\t<li>Pay range starting at $18.00 per hour.</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p>Group Supervisor &ndash; School Age Programs<br />\r\nFSLA: Full-Time Non-Exempt<br />\r\nReports to: Site Director/Kindergarten Teacher</p>\r\n\r\n<p>Position Summary:<br />\r\nThe Group Supervisor is responsible for planning and implementing daily activities and is responsible to<br />\r\nthe Site Director/Kindergarten Teacher.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>Primary Activities and Responsibilities:</p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Plans and implements daily program activities, including assisting the Site Director with designated activities.</li>\r\n\t<li>Ensures that monthly observations are being recorded for each child enrolled.</li>\r\n\t<li>Completed formal assessments (DRDP) twice per academic school year.</li>\r\n\t<li>Develops lesson plans for each day, posts them in the program and submits them on a weekly basis to the School Age Director (Monday mornings).</li>\r\n\t<li>Coordinates activities with Assistant Group Supervisor to ensure maximum learning opportunities.</li>\r\n\t<li>Plans and facilitates free play learning activities and structured learning activities.</li>\r\n\t<li>Communicates daily via written notes, email, and/or electronic portal about children&rsquo;s activities and well-being.</li>\r\n\t<li>Sets clear rules and expectations of behavior for the children.</li>\r\n\t<li>Participates in individual group activities with the children, such as art, sports, games, outdoor play, etc.</li>\r\n\t<li>Encourages and supports children.</li>\r\n\t<li>Assists the Site Director in ensuring all Stepping Stones policies and DHS regulations are met and maintained.</li>\r\n\t<li>Ensures a healthy classroom environment &ndash; including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and guaranteeing the safety and security of the children.</li>\r\n\t<li>Attends monthly staff meetings and receives twelve (12) hours of training annually &ndash; including Fire Safety (annually), and EOP training (annually) and CPR/Pediatric First Aid (every two years).</li>\r\n\t<li>Miscellaneous tasks as assigned by supervisor.</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p>Minimum Qualifications:</p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, or the Human Services field (Psychology and/or social work.)</li>\r\n\t<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree from an accredited college or university, including thirty (30) credit hours in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education Elementary Education, or the Human Services field (Psychology and/or Social Work) and 1250 hours of experience with children.</li>\r\n\t<li>An Associate&rsquo;s degree from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, or the Human Services field (Psychology and/or social work).</li>\r\n\t<li>An Associate&rsquo;s degree from an accredited college or university including thirty (30) credit hours in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education or the Human Services field (Psychology and/or social work) and 3750 hours of experience with children.</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p>Knowledge and Skills:</p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Demonstrated experience in program development and planning for children.</li>\r\n\t<li>Strong understanding of child development.</li>\r\n\t<li>Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and computer literacy skills.</li>\r\n\t<li>High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.</li>\r\n\t<li>Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to ensure safety, strong relationships, and guidance.</li>\r\n\t<li>Ability to build a strong, cohesive team.</li>\r\n\t<li>Ability to interact with children on different levels including the floor, lift/carry children and supplies, and move around the center while supervising children.</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n",
