Description

Greenville University is seeking a Maintenance Technician. This position performs skilled and semi-skilled duties in the maintenance, repair and construction of Greenville University buildings and equipment using carpentry, electrical, mechanical, piping, and masonry processes as well as a variety of campus maintenance duties across all trades, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC system maintenance, mechanical repairs, minor vehicle repairs, and general facility upkeep. Job Duties Completes preventive maintenance and responds to assigned work orders in a timely and safe manner. Performs lighting maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and repair, including work performed at heights and overhead. Regularly performs overhead work using ladders, lifts, and similar equipment in accordance with safety standards. Performs event setups, including deploying pop-up tents and installing staked tents (site layout, anchoring, staking), arranging tables, chairs, stages, and assisting with other equipment moves as needed. Assists groundskeeping, including general outdoor maintenance and seasonal tasks such as snow removal, as operational needs require. Uses tools, equipment, vehicles, and personal protective equipment safely and maintains a clean workspace. Works collaboratively with custodial and grounds staff to support daily operations and special projects. Helps maintain a safe, clean, and functional campus environment. Performs other related duties as assigned in support of Facilities Operations.
