Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities Conduct hands-on silicon photonic IC testing and performance characterization. Operate and maintain optical and electrical test equipment. Handle, manage and inspect fine materials with precision and care. Assist in material handling and picking for various projects. Collaborate with team members to ensure project goals are met efficiently. Communicate effectively with the Program Manager, Design Engineer, and other team members. Identify and solve problems that arise during the testing and characterization process. Maintain accurate records of test results and material usage. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering Physics, Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related Industry background with 1yr+ working experiences, lab experiences preferred Hands-on experience with optical and electrical test equipment. Skills Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in material management and handling fine materials. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not required. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Working Conditions Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary Physical Requirements Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or conducting meetings. Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents. Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Mobility within the office environment to attend meetings Safety Requirements All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp. Corporate EHS standards.
