Visit Southeastern Connecticut for the famous lobster rolls, apple cider and steamed cheeseburgers and stay for the highly ranked schools, low crime rates and abundance of attractions.</li>\n </ul>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be a U.S. citizen, eligible to receive an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance*</li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical degree.</li>\n <li>10+ years of recent software application development experience.</li>\n <li>Experience with at least one modern object-oriented programming language (e.g., C#, Java, and/or C++).</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Strongly Desired Experience/Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Possessing an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance*</li>\n <li>Experience in:</li>\n <ul>\n  <li>C++, .Net, OpenGL, Lua, Qt, and/or physics modeling</li>\n  <li>Software Development Lifecycle</li>\n  <li>Modeling and Simulation</li>\n  <li>GUI development</li>\n  <li>Unity</li>\n </ul>\n <li>Experience in and/or knowledge of:</li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Object Oriented Design and UML Tools</li>\n  <li>Multiple development languages</li>\n  <li>Multiple Operating Systems (e.g. Windows, Linux)</li>\n  <li>Architecture definition and/or software integration</li>\n  <li>Software development involving virtualization technology</li>\n  <li>Sensor Simulation</li>\n  <li>LVC Distributed Simulation Networking Protocols (e.g., DIS)</li>\n </ul>\n</ul>\n<p>*Obtaining a U.S. Government security clearance involves a comprehensive background check.
