Performs weld techniques per required material and weldment.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Demonstrated proficiency in mig welding.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">&nbsp;Sets-up weld equipment per material type listed on work order. Welds part per work order and blueprints.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Use basic power hand tools and grinders to clean up weld work e.g., de-burring, clean weld splatter.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Completes the Weld Quality Check list as required.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Supports the company&rsquo;s lean initiatives and assists in Lean projects as required.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Follows all safety practices and rules. Maintains clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Supports other departments or completes other duties, as necessary.</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\"><strong>Qualifications and Required Skills</strong>:</span></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">A welding certification or on job experience is strongly recommended.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Previous experience with mig weld procedures is required.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Previous experience with handheld grinders, drills, hammer, plasma cutting torch, blaster equipment and drill press is strongly desired.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Previous application of lean manufacturing and structured problem-solving tools is a plus.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Good understanding of blueprint reading.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Must be able to read squares and measuring tapes.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Good verbal and written communication skills.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Lifts frequently (50% of normal workday) material weighing 5 &ndash; 25 lbs. occasionally lifts (15% of normal workday) material weighing 25 &ndash; 60 lbs. lifting generally from floor level to waist level.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Must reach, stoop, kneel and crouch.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Be able to read part numbers and directions provided on a worksheet.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Works within a team cell environment</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Must be reliable and willing to work overtime when required.</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\"><strong>Job Requirements:</strong></span></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Attention to Detail: Welders need to make clean lines and cuts when welding.
