    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Position Summary:&nbsp;</strong>The Underground Crew Leader position is a skilled position in the construction, maintenance and repair of electrical underground distribution systems.&nbsp;<br><br>\n &nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Work safely while performing new construction, maintenance or repair work of energized and de-energized underground work.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Supervise crew members.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Possess working knowledge of leadership and management skills.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Capable of leading and training lower skilled employees in safe and productive work procedures.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Capable of leading and teaching underground services, infrastructure and duct banks.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Conduct pre-job or tailgate briefings.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Possess a working knowledge of all aspects of underground distribution.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Troubleshoot problems on underground circuit.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Frequently works with energized high voltage systems requiring skill and care to protect the lives of themselves and others.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Comply with company reporting procedures and complete required company paperwork.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Coordinate and inspect the work of crew members.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Able to perform rigorous physical labor.</li>\n <li>Able to identify primary and secondary voltage on a circuit.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Must be familiar with induced voltage.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Possess knowledge of tools for terminating cable.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Understand grounding procedures.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Understand how to obtain a one shot on a reclosure.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Capable of working in confined spaces.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Capable of properly installing and removing PPE and cover up.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Understand grounding procedures.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Capable of testing and classifying soil.</li>\n <li>Understand how to safely operate equipment.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Understand how to phase out a line using phasing sticks.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Capable of planning safe work based on a job print or work order.</li>\n <li>Understand sloping and shoring requirements.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Possesses a working knowledge of ladder requirements.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Able to properly ask for and take line clearances.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Possess a working knowledge of line protection devices.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Able to properly inspect rubber goods and PPE.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Able to identify and locate puller and tensioner setups.</li>\n <li>Does all other related work as required to complete the job.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Able to travel long distances on short notice, when required.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Understand flag and tag procedures.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Possess a CDL and demonstrate safe driving.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Able to work for extended periods in various locations, when required.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Must be able to work outside, frequently in inclement weather.</li>\n <li>Willing to work over-time when requested.</li>\n <li>Willing to work outside of the normal work schedule including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required for the position.</li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><br><strong>Physical Demands:</strong></p>\n<p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.</p>\n<p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
