    "description": "<p>Seeking a Safety Manager for an employer in the Harrisburg, Hershey, Lebanon PA area.</p>\r\n<p><br></p>\r\n<p>Essential Functions of the Job:</p>\r\n<p>--Lead the entire HSE function for a site of about 800 employees</p>\r\n<p>--Put in place a proactive safety process that gets all employees engaged with their own safety and the safety of co-workers</p>\r\n<p>--Put in place a proactive safety system that isn't reliant on the Safety Manager--teach leaders what their role and daily activities are in regards to safety</p>\r\n<p>--Be a great trainer when it comes to all compliance trainings and non-mandated safety topics--must be able to deliver with passion </p>\r\n<p>--Must ensure that all needed safety documentation is in place and organized </p>\r\n<p>--Must be a floor-person.  Over 50% of time needs to be on the floor where activities are occurring (Don't need someone who wants to just be in the office all day)</p>\r\n<p>--Implementation of Behavior Based Safety in critical</p>\r\n<p>--Organize all daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual safety mandated trainings, checklists, audits, etc. (Person must be a planner)</p>\r\n<p>--Investigate all near misses and incidents and provide proper corrective actions and communicate to all needed people</p>\r\n<p>--Complete all annual government reports as needed for Safety and Environmental </p>\r\n<p>--Be a key part of the leadership team</p>\r\n<p>--Lead and develop the safety committee, all leadership personnel and associates</p>\r\n<p><br></p>\r\n<p>Desired Education/Qualities/Skills/Certifications:</p>\r\n<p>--Prefer a BS in Safety from quality Safety Program (IUP, Millersville, SR, PSU, WV, etc)</p>\r\n<p>--Prefer someone with their CSP certification or in process</p>\r\n<p>--Need someone who isn't a job hopper--want to see previous stability with an organization(s)</p>\r\n<p>--Need someone who is very passionate about Safety and ensuring people go home the same way they came into work</p>\r\n<p>--Need someone who has a charismatic personality and great communications skills--you need to be able to sell why things need to be done a certain way</p>\r\n<p>--Would prefer someone who could be relocatable in the future--this company will have promotional opportunities with multi-location responsibilities</p>\r\n<p>--Candidate must be willing to train at other US locations during first year of work</p>\r\n<p>--Someone with new facility start-ups would be great</p>\r\n<p>--Company will relocate someone that is more than 50 miles from the Lebanon PA area</p>\r\n<p><br></p>\r\n<p>This is a great opportunity for the right person in the Central PA area-region!  The total compensation package is excellent.
