    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Cordoba Corporation is a leading engineering and design firm based in California. We are seeking an Aviation Project Manager to support our Facilities Sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the scope, cost, schedule, and operational interfaces of design and construction activities for the Terminal 5 Renovation and Reconstruction Project. The role focuses on schedule certainty, budget delivery, and ensuring construction work meets required quality standards while enforcing a strong health, safety, and environmental culture. The Project Manager ensures the development and implementation of design, construction, testing, commissioning, turnover plans, operational impact mitigation, stakeholder coordination, and adherence to the client's standards.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Primary liaison and airport/owner representative responsible for directing and managing the project</li>\n <li>Responsible for scope development and scope management of the project to meet project goals and objectives</li>\n <li>Develop the RFP and oversee the procurement process for designers and contractors</li>\n <li>Providing direction and management for the assigned project and ensuring on-schedule completion within or below budget in accordance with contractual obligations</li>\n <li>Planning and defining program goals and devising methods to accomplish them, developing in-depth knowledge of owner objectives, contract terms, and airport policies</li>\n <li>Planning, directing, supervising, and controlling the execution of all technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned project</li>\n <li>Working with team members and airport management to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for the various elements of a project</li>\n <li>Oversees the owner’s staff that manages full project delivery, including stakeholder interfaces</li>\n <li>Managing project scope to meet or exceed project goals and objectives</li>\n <li>Ability to identify and study options to complex design, operational, or constructability issues</li>\n <li>Ability to conduct field surveys and investigations to capture detailed and accurate field conditions. This information shall be used to enable strategic design and construction decisions</li>\n <li>Maintaining documentation on the approved scope of work for the project, including all related agreements, authorizations, reports, drawings, and specifications. This documentation shall include narratives for all scopes of work, as well as a coordinated CAD representation, including all projects for key disciplines</li>\n <li>Managing the project during design and construction, including resolution of technical design issues, issuing design non-compliances, issuing field non-conformances, timely processing of RFI’s, coordinating shop drawing reviews, participation in and approval of factory and site acceptance tests, coordinating material approvals, coordinating mock-up approvals, providing reports, drawings, and specification interpretation, participation in testing and commissioning activities, managing the punch list process, and other activities as required to ensure the design process supports the project goals</li>\n <li>Overseeing the design process, including managing the Design </li>\n <li>Review Team (DRT) design review process for assigned project(s) through all phases of design, including significant design changes during construction</li>\n <li>Monitoring and leading efforts related to the permitting process required by the designteam and contractor</li>\n <li>Overseeing the construction process to remove and mitigate obstacles that cause inefficiencies in the construction process</li>\n <li>Becoming thoroughly familiar with the required contractual obligations and technical aspects of all facilities to be erected</li>\n <li>Ensuring all work is being performed with and inspected to the latest versions of plans and specifications, including approved changes, submittals, and RFI’s</li>\n <li>Working with the designer, contractor, and stakeholders to develop the overall planning of construction activities and identify critical milestones and priorities</li>\n <li>Keeping alert to possible problem areas and taking preventative action to ensure critical milestones are met for each phase of the project</li>\n <li>Ensuring the use of safe and sound construction practices</li>\n <li>Preparing reports summarizing the progress of construction activities for senior management</li>\n <li>Reviewing change proposals for contractual compliance and alignment with fair market value</li>\n <li>Preparing a monthly risk report for the Program Board</li>\n <li>Monitoring adherence to Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other documents as required, and promoting excellence on the project through the application of Quality Assurance processes</li>\n <li>Enforcing the program requirements for all areas of the project and monitoring the draft and final deliverables for adherence to these criteria</li>\n <li>Reviewing pay applications to ensure proper verification of completed work and compliance with contract requirements</li>\n <li>Working with the key project individual to devise and execute action plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work</li>\n <li>Assuring that current and timely change orders are documented and administered properly</li>\n <li>Participating in all necessary coordination meetings with the designer, contractor, and stakeholders</li>\n <li>Managing the closeout process to ensure all documentation is completed as quickly as possible to efficiently close the project without incurring unnecessary costs</li>\n <li>Safety performance is well above industry standards</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>15 years or more of experience, preferably on airport projects</li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Aviation, Business, Engineering, </li>\n <li>Construction Management, Planning, or other related technical field required</li>\n <li>Master's degree preferred</li>\n <li>Relevant professional licensure (s) and/or certificates are strongly preferred. These may include AAAE, LEED, PE, PMP, AICP, etc., or any other relevant professional licensure and/or certifications</li>\n <li>Experience with projects more than $100 million in value.</li>\n <li>Experience with various delivery methods, including Design-Bid-</li>\n <li>Build, Design+CMAR and Design/Build</li>\n <li>Proven ability to perform in a management capacity</li>\n <li>Excellent written and oral communication skills and a thorough </li>\n <li>knowledge of industry practices and regulations.</li>\n <li>Multiple positions are anticipated – Submitted experience to emphasize airport concourse scope, airport headhouse scope, or site/civil scope.</li>\n <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam</li>\n <li>Familiarity with Project Management Information Systems (PM Web)</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Salary Range: $173,000 to $195,000 per year</p>\n<p>Work Environment: Onsite</p>\n<p>Location: Los Angeles, California</p>\n<h2>Our Company</h2>\n<p><strong>Cordoba Corporation, Making a Difference</strong></p>\n<p>Cordoba Corporation is a nationally recognized civil engineering, construction management, program management, and planning firm.
