    "description_html": "<strong>Diesel Mechanic<br>Byer Steel<br>Cincinnati,OH</strong><br> <p>JOB SUMMARY</p><p>Inspect, diagnose, adjust, repair, and overhaul truck, trailer, and mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment such as cranes, bulldozers, graders, conveyors, and forklifts.</p><p><strong>Essential Job Duties</strong></p><p>• Perform all work assigned in a safe, well-managed manner and ensure the area is safe and clean.<br>• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery.<br>• Repair and replace damaged or worn parts.<br>• Properly diagnose malfunctions. Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer specifications.<br>• Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.<br>• Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and tools.<br>• Schedule and perform all maintenance tasks on a timely basis.<br>• Keep all DOT inspections on trucks and trailers current.<br>• Maintain records for each vehicle showing service intervals and repairs.<br>• Communicate actively with the Manager to coordinate work and provide updates on work in progress.<br>• Operate all equipment in a safe and orderly fashion.<br>• Report any accidents or injuries immediately.<br>• Perform all other duties as assigned by the Manager.</p><p><strong>Qualifications and Experience</strong></p><p>• Associate degree in Industrial Mechanics or a combination of training and experience that provides equivalent skills, knowledge, and abilities.<br>• Minimum of 3 years of training and/or experience as a truck/trailer mechanic.<br>• Knowledge of DEF systems is a plus.<br>• Valid driver’s license required; Class A license is a plus.<br>• Acceptable motor vehicle record.<br>• Physical strength and endurance to perform all duties and responsibilities.<br>• Ability to work safely and cooperatively.<br>• Punctuality and regular attendance required.</p><p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p><p>• Physical exertion required.<br>• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.<br>• Frequently required to walk, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate objects, tools, and controls.<br>• Reach with hands and arms.<br>• Occasionally required to balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.<br>• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.<br>• Ability to communicate verbally and effectively with others required.</p><br> <p><strong>We Make it Easy</strong></p>\n\n<p><em>Founded in 1901, MRA is a nonprofit employer association that serves more </em><em>than 4,000 employers, covering more than one million employees.</em></p>\n\n<p> </p>\n\n<p><em>As one of the largest employer associations in the nation, MRA helps its member organizations thrive by offering the most comprehensive assortment of HR services, information, education, and resources to help build successful workplaces and a powerful workforce.</em></p>\n\n<p><em>We partner with these companies working directly with their HR department and leadership to hire their talent.
