    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Your Opportunity</strong></p>\n<p>Stantec's thriving Design practice is adding a Project Architect to their team. Your role will be to collaborate with the Project Manager and any Design Leader to guide a team of design coordinators through all phases of Design and Construction. You will support all aspects of the project process from validation/pre-design through construction administration and close-out and with opportunities to support various market sectors. Coordination with consultants, contractors, and Owners will be a part of your weekly activities to manage projects. Along with your Project Manager, you will support multiple projects at any time, within various phases of design and construction.</p>\n<p><strong>Your Key Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Responsible for projects of large and medium complexity/size.</li>\n <li>Inspire creativity, critical thought and design excellence both internally and externally.</li>\n <li>Conceptualizes a building design from both a functional and aesthetic perspective in concert with a client’s requirements, budget and program.</li>\n <li>Develop a design through sketches, physical models, electronic models, diagrams, massing studies, and other visual formats to express the design intent and communicate to project team, client, and building user groups.</li>\n <li>Utilizes BIM technologies in development of three-dimensional models of buildings and their components.</li>\n <li>Participate in design critiques and constructability reviews.</li>\n <li>Present the design with the Project Manager and collaborating Design Architect to stakeholders during early project phases. Develops building design in accordance with cost parameters.</li>\n <li>Develop space planning, block planning, and adjacency diagrams in coordination with building program.</li>\n <li>Evaluate and select building systems and materials.</li>\n <li>Coordinate building systems to ensure compatibility with the design intent.</li>\n <li>Implement sustainable design principles into the design and environment.</li>\n <li>Analyze site incorporating geotechnical, hydrological, environmental, social, economic and contextual conditions.</li>\n <li>Participate in development of the program and other pre-design efforts.</li>\n <li>Ensure that design intent is maintained through documentation and construction.</li>\n <li>Responsible for leading others in project team setting and design critiques and pin-ups.&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>",
